seem like the shrimp very hungry, eat like hungry ghost...even the otto and the apple snails also come to share

erm...tenchi, some of us cannot read chinese leh... which is the plant in that tank? and your thermometer looks awkward when positioned like that. LOL~!!... nothing wrong with it... just ..kinda... ah... nvm...

yujin bro, the shrimp food ah, does it attract fish to eat also? hmm..just asking because pity my shrimps in my community tank, whenever i put a shrimp food, my fishes grab it right after the food touches the water and the shrimp dont even have a chance to smell it . i dont want to waste that much of money for shrimp food only for my fish to grab eat before my shrimps. hehehe... and my shrimp sux, they slow.

and where the heck i can find tat shrimp food? anyone knows anywhere to find those around KL/Selangor?
p/s: yujin, yesterday i went to damansara (when i COD the rotala from pang) and try to look for mr. lim's outlet... and i failed ... hahahah~!!! maybe i should use a GPS after this.

for the pallet, since is big size, no way fish can grab it before the pallet sink....
there are many choices out there...
1) shirakura
2) Gex
3) Mosura
all mentioned above can be found at Mr. Lim's shop....

very simple, just beside the sg buloh Plus highway exit.....

hmm... so that is how a shrimp tank looks like huh. saw drew's and now urs. and i got a feeling that i dont think i'm gonna have any tank like that in my house because my wife will shoot me due to ugly tank like sump tank in the house (lol..no offense okay...it;s from my wife perspective when i showed her). she prefer the looks of the tank first and then only what fauna will be inside. hmm... i need to start thinking on layout for low-tech jungle scape and no lights.

hehehe...end of this month i'll be officially starting a shrimp tank. gonna buy RCS from Eddie in JB (starting serious with RCS first...still scared with CRS) and will have my first shrimp-breeding tank. huhuhu...wish me luck. the tank will be setted up within this week and will let it cycle while waiting for the shrimp arrival end of this month w00t~!! then if success with RCS, only i'll think of CRS. oh ya...dun forget about the greenies that will share the same tank with the RCS

then later dump CRS in that tank also and let it crossbreed. i wanna see how the babies gonna looks like. can it comeout green-"hulk"-looking CRS? LOL~!!!!.... FTW!!

and according to their facts (old timer breeder), these 2 won cross breed....

u watch southpark? in the episod that they wanna create crossbreed between pigs and elephant? no way...

in the tank will have RCS + Green Shrimps (i know these 2 is not a same type and wont cross breed). But once CRS dumped there, Green Shrimps and CRS is in the same type am I rite? Or maybe I misread perhaps....

But cool also if they cant crossbreed so they can live with each other peacefully and mind their own business. it doesnt really matter to me anyway, I just want to see them alive living in the tank. I dont want to kill shrimps as they're too expensive and too small to be cooked if they die. Better they stay alive in the tank for my eyes pleasure.

My tank is bare with sump is plainly due to simplicity and ease.. and water volume is increased by 4x..

I don't see why you can't have a shrimp tank with merely a tank + canister + proper temperature... (and proper parameters and maintaining.. of course)

A tank filled with red/black and white striped shrimp is a sight to behold.

Orange means YES they can mix with their own type OR Mixing WITH these SHRIMPS would not cause a misbreed( for example as seen in the chart, yellow shrimp can mix with bee shrimp coz they won't interbreed - same idea with red cherry and crs)

hm... im curious, what's the problem if they crossbreed? like green and crs if mixed together in same tank... ya i know some people want to get higher and higher grade crs from breeding but heck, is there anything wrong if i just wanna have fun in the hobby by letting them crossbreed purposely by putting them in the same tank?

or is there any side effects that they shouldnt be in the same tank together? like perhaps...Malayan will eat White Bee if they're together, or SnowBall will GB on Blue Pearl until dead? erm..u got what i mean. negative stuff things beside crossbreeding issue?

It's always the crossbreeding issue.

have u seen a maroon shrimp?? as in the really ugly longkang colour.. I tried crossing cherry and yellows before.. I thought hey!! Orange shrimp ma... but came out long kang. that was 4 years ago. Learnt it the hard way.. not intending to find out with CRS.

Though you can try and see, maybe we'd get green striped CRS LOL!
