QUOTE(daijoubu @ Oct 22 2009, 03:12 AM) Problem is i dunno what plants are suitable for small tank and with my small budget. If possible i want to keep my spendings as long as possible. Glosso + java moss on driftwood + maybe some leafy plant (giant hydras?) can ah? maybe use DIY CO2. posible to not use CO2? then, you can try...Haha based on online reading, puffer sometimes ignore shrimps, sometimes they'll gobble them up. depends la. so i thought just give them a try la since shrimps so cheap. if cannot, most prob i'll get ottos. How big is anubias =D. got pic of ur tank? interested to know more of ur setup =D RCS also not so cheap if you always top up them... anubias?? http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/myplants..._Lagenandra/0/7 |

QUOTE(daijoubu @ Oct 23 2009, 10:14 AM) Trying to read here and there la =D. So means my action plans is: step 3 some change...1) Buy tank + light + HOB filter 2) Rinse tank lightly to clean? 3) Put substrate and plant 4) Fill with tap water (do i need to dechlorinate?) 5) Add bacteria 6) Let it sit for 2-4 days and change 50% water in between 7) Introduce puffer + shrimps together 8) Weekly 30% water change + filter cleaning? Is my steps ok? Or should i introduce the shrimps first before step 6? Thanks =D put substrate -> fill in 10% water, put plant... then fill up... |

QUOTE(daijoubu @ Oct 25 2009, 10:08 PM) =D i listened and went out to get some plants. altho the LFS i went to know nuts about 'hornwort' or 'anubias' so i just hentam some plants. they are out of java moss too. i bought a driftwood tho. how should i clean it? just put inside the tank, or rinse it or let it soak? i had problem keeping them in the soil as they keep floating, so i tied them to a rock to anchor them. am i doing it right? also my temp gauge shows me 29.6C at night would a diy air cooler help? [attachmentid=1270857] [attachmentid=1270858] anyone can identify these plants? ![]() 學名 : Rotala nanjeanshanensis http://www.leoaqua.com/rotala8a.html ![]() 學名 : Bacopa sp. http://www.leoaqua.com/bacopa3.html high lighting might make it pinkish (**high lighting, sufficient CO2) |
