Actually, it's quite comfortable for me.. It really depends - if your hands are small, then I think this wouldn't fit you nicely.. rclxub.gif

As a person with a rather small palm, it certainly looks like the mouse is quite troublesome to use.

As for the keyboard, it's totally awesome.

Well, the only problem is the price. It's such a luxury that the saved money can be used as fund to buy a new rig.
*
laugh.gif Sorry for the small palm issue bro... Guess I'm lucky that it fits me well then. wink.gif Anyway, I believe the price I pay for it is seriously worth it, though I hope Microsoft could have improved on certain bits. But nevertheless, it's money well spent!

nice gaming stuff u got there, anyway what the retail price for tat mouse? Does the mouse run on cable mode n wireless mode? if yes, then its a good mouse
*
Yeah it does run on and off charge. So it's wired while charging, and wireless while not - reasons why I love it. wub.gif Anyway, I think right now the best price I can find is RM275 from kingcom in garage sales, I got my set from him. I couldn't find anyone else selling the X8 mouse. For the keyboard it's RM275 also, but some other guy is selling at RM225 in bulk orders. Funny thing is, I PM-ed him but his response wasn't very nice... rclxub.gif

i got 2 units of sidewinder keyboards for my friends from the seller selling at rm225. quite a nice guy IMHO. there's another seller, Cex, selling at rm229.

btw, is the sidewinder mouse bigger than the logitech g5? it certainly looks so.
*
laugh.gif Nice price, sadly I got mine already... Anyway, the X8 is similar in size, and its back slightly larger that's all. wink.gif

I just love the sidewinder keyboard.. But no money yet for now to buy.. It cannot be tilt upwards at all?
*
Yeah, it doesn't have the "legs" at the back of the keyboard to tilt it up, which makes a normal RM10 keyboard feel proud about it. rclxub.gif

wow, just for rm275? wondering why? while the razer mamba can hit up to rm500, crazy! by the way, what's the mouse weight?
*
Yeah, it's RM275, like while the fella still has stock. I think kingcom is the only one selling the X8... Cuz like I said, I couldn't find anyone else at all selling the X8... rclxub.gif

Anyway, I didn't know a Mamba would cost RM500... Maybe the initial price, but from what I hear, the X8 is actually scheduled to be priced @RM399.. rclxub.gif

No lar... Look now, MS coming back with their nice new X8. Seems like Microsoft is really making a comeback for Sidewinder.. laugh.gif Think about it this way - how often do you game with joypads nowadays? And was FPS as famous back then? The mice are the new gamepads for games!

BlueTrack is the next generation of Laser tracking fellas... Unlike normal laser mice, this mice can track on Glass and Marble. wink.gif Oh, and no, there are only 2 mice so far with BlueTrack tech - Microsoft's X8 and the Intellimouse Explorer something if not mistaken...

P.S. Am I the only one who owns an X8? Where are the others?? laugh.gif

I'm not the X8 user but did try and did research before

Sidewinder X8 is a 4000dpi Wired and Wireless dual usage gaming mouse.

Sidewinder X8 can be as wireless mouse or wired mouse, likewise you can charge your mouse battery while you are wired mode and while you want go for wireless just unplug the wire, simple!

The feel of X8 is quite same as Sidewinder mouse but without the weight cartridge like X5.

Bluetrack is a new technology that upper level than laser mouse A BIT .... seriously I'm also the Bluetrack Mouse user so I know, Bluetrack add some extra options which can track certain smooth surface and rough surface like human skin(anywhere you like)... fur, marble, cloth, wooden, soil .... etc. different surface difference performance of course =)

HOWEVER .... it had a very weird negative options .... which cannot track white paper surface which is opposite than optical mouse and also still it cannot track under glass surface (In 40%~100% transparency) =.= .. half transparency may be works well .... sometimes XD

the advantages is just you can play your mouse any where in many types of surface which laser mouse cannot do it

R u using the Microsoft intellimouse??

Very good input from wingster there. Mind sharing with us what kind of mouse you use?

Just something to add, eventhough blue track tech provides you the ability to track better than a laser track mouse, please don't use it on soil, etc and don't use a sand paper as your mousepad please shocking.gif as it is better to preserve the mouse that you bought for that amount of money...just a thought. tongue.gif
*
L-O-L... Use mouse on Sandpaper - hey, at least can smoothen the bottom what... I'll try that on my X8.. brows.gif

Im using Explorer Mouse .... a wireless 800dpi mouse =.= and also out of the Sidewinder series XD

I did try on soil quite ... fun.

right now because my mouse has a certain part is made by metal so right now getting a little rusty ..

I also test running on the grass ... maybe that cause my mouse get rust =.=

also X8 has same distance as Explorer Mouse you can play your mouse in about 10m-20m range in wireless ......................
which you can control your mouse at outside your house, your dongle inside the house ....
*
Um, that's the great thing about the X8 mouse, but I don't see the use for using your mouse out of your house though... huh.gif
