X3 was very cheap in look ... however it maybe the light and portable gaming mouse in Sidewinder series

which specific button you're talking about?

If macro I found no problem on Win7 .... if you're talking about certain special button on the Intellpoint then thats another story rolleyes.gif

Lol. The X3 fits me nicely. And yeah, the Sidewinder is way bigger (not the X5 or X8, just the Sidewinder).

I can reach the side buttons easily..

Pro  -

- Shape much better than the other Sidewinder, fits my hand better
- Nice and smooth
- 2000dpi + laser @ RM49  biggrin.gif
- Programmable buttons
- Nice rubber scroll wheel. Also very smooth biggrin.gif
- Side buttons not that hard to reach
- Smooth movements, due to huge mousefeets.

Cons -

- A tad bit too light
- No LCD (has to be expected, lol)
- Might feel "cheap" (to some, lol)

errr... the buttons are acting like ordinary buttons only, and not the specific buttons in the game. in other word, the specific program button is not working and is like normal button in windows.

Help me, help you ;p Can you be like really specific so that I can (somewhat) replicate your situation with my gaming rig. I'm using Vista Ultimate only but should give us a lead or two.

If you're talking about the "spin-180-around" function, you need to calibrate it first, i.e. hit the designated button, hold left mouse, make a left or right 180 turn, then let go left mouse. Now if you click that particular button again your view will spin 180. Tried that configuration on CoD5 and it work, albeit I never use it that much, same goes with the Precision Booster feature. Curiously now, I never tried that on a RTS game yet ;p

ok... i will try my best to explain it.

intellipoint has a function that let us customize the buttons in different programs, which i call it program specific buttons setting. so i'm playing torchlight now and i set some macro. i assigned the forward and backward buttons at the side to be the macro. but in the game, i clicked the buttons but nothing happen.

hope u all can understand my lousy english. haha...

well it seems like you're flatting your palm to fit this mouse, for me this mouse suite for crawing hands because the button was much good to fit in that position
