Dear all,
I'm going to purchase a Nintendo Wii this weekend. According to the information that i've gathered here, there are a total of 3 regions and i must choose carefully.
However, my friend told me that there is a fully cracked version which can play all the games. But this is slightly more expensive. Just wana check before i make my purchase this weekend on the following:
1. Is the fully cracked version safe and reliable?
2. can it really play all games i.e. Jap & US version?
3. can it also play black market cd games?
4. Do i need to modify it with Wiikey2 and what are the pros and cons if i dont?
Hiope someone can enlighten me here, thanks
1. The only way to bypass Region Lock is to crack it. Not exactly safe, as Nintendo might kill your Wii via future firmware. If you are doing a Hardware mod, pls install a switch for the Mod-Chip. So u can switch off the Mod-Chip if future firmware indeed kill modded Wii.I'm going to purchase a Nintendo Wii this weekend. 2. Yes.
3. It is against LYN policy to discuss illegal business, such as "black market disc"
4. If u don't mod your Wii, your Wii will be region lock. Not all games release in JPN will be release in US/ANZ, so it is not wise to lock yourself into 1 region by not modding it. For example, CAPCOM vs Tatsunoko is a Japan only game, u gotta mod your US Wii to play it.
