I'm not promoting because I'm a user myself, but just to inform you that Celcom prepaid introduced Mobile Internet Monthly. RM38 for 1GB per month. I don't like postpaid, so this really makes me happy. This is not new prepaid plan, so all Xpax / SOX / UOX users can apply this. Just like standard RM5 per day / RM18 per week before. And until 31st December, we will get 1GB free. So 2GB total per month. Edit: I attach this screenshot for prove. Do not worry, although it said 'langgan' / subscribe, Celcom will not deduct your credit automatically when reach last day of the subscription. Instead, they will send a warning message (to tell you that your subscription will expired). Final decision whether to renew or not for the next subscription is under your control. QUOTE(exwan @ Nov 8 2013, 12:55 PM) Bro. Is this forever? Or just some promoion. As i know. Celcom prepaid dont have mothly before. If this is for a long time then i will consider before jumping to other telco. EDIT : ok. Just called cel om customer service. Seems like my celcom *118# menu is still not updated. That why i cant find it. Need to use MI38 and send to 28882. Yes, this one is new, beside daily and weekly subscription. Well I'm not sure this monthly internet is permanent features or not, we'll see. I assume at least a year, maybe more. Lazy to ask SC for that. The promotion refers to extra GB until end of this year. Maybe they try to check usage and profit, so if looks good then this will become as long as possible. Correct, I think actually no need to subscribe using *118#, because you still need to send MI38 YES to 28882 regardless using *118# or not. But with *118#, you will receive instruction and confirmation message to subscribe. This post has been edited by shadowzephyr: Nov 8 2013, 02:57 PM

QUOTE(hanvetan @ Dec 15 2013, 11:29 PM) Recently got a lot of prepaid with data plan..the rate is lower..i would like to know whether postpaid data plan is better or prepaid data plan ? Easy, prepaid is like debit card. You need to subscribe manually for data plan (unless there's option to auto subscribe), and have to topup accordingly before that. Exceed in usage (either time / data volume), and you'll be charged HUGE. But if you aware of it, you can plan accordingly on how much you spent each month. So, prepaid is way flexible and less money consuming than postpaid data plan. Some prepaid, like maxis (I think), have an option for you to continue browsing after exceed the volume/time without worry of huge credit deduction, but with reduced speed (64kbps I think). Postpaid data plan is, well, you only subscribe one time and didn't have to renew each month. Usually the data plan option provide a lot of data volume compare to prepaid. No hassle to topup and renew subscription every month, and less worry about exceed in data usage (because of huge volume, and also some postpaid can auto send msg/email if you nearly reach the limit). But there's a fixed minimum amount you need to pay each month, whether you using the data until limit or less. Also, the data plan option that provide huge data volume usually sacrifices price for call and sms/mms compare to standard plan or prepaid. So, you need to pay more than usual when calling / messaging. This post has been edited by shadowzephyr: Dec 29 2013, 10:21 AM
