Which one should I take? Maxis does seem to have a lot of "perks" that make us spend more money.

I am considering either MaxisOne RM98 or Celcom Gold RM80 plan.

QUOTE(silverwave @ Jul 15 2017, 09:14 PM) How's the coverage/reliability wise if i compare it with celcom? If you are always around KL area, umobile coverage is really not bad. Outside of that I am not sure. But I know a lot of budget is being poured into this subsidiary, things could get better and better. Not always, once in 2-3 month but i don't really use the phone besides getting calls from office. Celcom is still the best in terms of coverage. |

QUOTE(x3Kai @ May 4 2018, 10:50 AM) Thinking of moving on from umobile now, the stability is just unbearable, even for Klang Valley. From what i read so far if you have dual sim phones, the best option is to have tunetalk +vibe 200 for data (rm 17 for 20 gb per month), and get another telco to keep my number. I rarely call or sms, probably like less than 10 minutes per month. So I have either two options: Yoodo - RM 5 per month for calls to keep my line XOX - 28 Months free validity, and pay as you use for phone calls I'm leaning towards XOX for now. Any other suggestions or recommendations for either data or calls? If I'm not mistaken all the telco listed are MNVO using the Celcom network. And luckily Celcom coverage is decent, I borrowed an XOX sim to test and it seems like I'll be fine since it's Klang Valley. QUOTE(x3Kai @ May 6 2018, 10:55 AM) thanks for the info. Is XOX line good? Indoor & outdoor?how complicated is the process? would it be better to have a dealer do it for me, or i should just order a sim online lol. I am using Celcom Gold Plus now, with the AnyGB +RM10, my bill is at average RM120 each month. I realize i only use about 15~18GB each month, so I am thinking to downgrade to something cheaper. Am looking at Digi, I would love to NOT have the data separately into weekdays & weekends. and hopefully to cut down my bill a bit. I use a lot of voice call/video call with data so having a stable 4G would be the most ideal! Don't mind going into prepaid if that's cheaper! Any suggestions? QUOTE(x3Kai @ May 21 2018, 02:38 PM) if you use a dual sim phone like me Last time UMobile used to say they are using Celcom network but still, the coverage and everything sucks. the vibe + xox seems like a good deal as they both run using the celcom network it should be quite good if you're happy with what u have with celcom now mnp is causing some problem for me but when i was using a fresh sim to test, coverage and speed are both way better than umobile i'm still using my unifi free sim for now so i can't say anything about vibe plans, but i heard good things about it. worst case scenario u can just stick to xox's own data plans, which tbh is about the same for what you're paying now. if you can narrow down what you're using the most, perhaps u can look at the ookyo plans. since it uses the maxis network it could be an improvement from what you're using. |

QUOTE(UN1T3D @ May 21 2018, 04:48 PM) U have stopped using C network for long long time already ... they only have Maxis 2G roaming agreement and a few Maxis 3G RAN spots left that will end soon ... How about the coverage and etc?In your case, the tunetalk Vibe 200 (20GB monthly quota) is very good if you want to cut cost. Just do the math and you'll see why ... the current tunetalk call rates is still reasonable if you make less calls ... Wow damn, i just checked the TuneTalk Plan, RM50 for 20GB???? That's cheap! But how about the coverage and etc? This post has been edited by miyakochan89: May 21 2018, 04:56 PM |

Hi all, I have been using Maxis Postpaid 90 one for like 2 years (due to contract), but it is ending soon and i find myself paying a little too much for something that i barely use. I have like almost 50GB a month which i only use like 2GB or even 5GB at most.
I'm thinking to switch to a cheaper plan, any telco except UMOBILE cause i want a stable line. I'm looking into Hotlink Postpaid, but does Hotlink Postpaid also enjoy the food deals and all, like special rewards for customers? Thank you. |

Im using RM98 Maxid Postpaid. I wanna check if there are any cheaper telcos with equally strong coverage? Should I switch to hotline instead? There’s hotlink postpaid these days.

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Dec 15 2022, 04:11 PM) Hotlink and Maxis are the same. But as for coverage, you have to find out whether the other telco coverage is good enough for you. No telco is equal in terms of 4G. I’m ok with Maxis actually. But yes I’m thinking to switch to Hotlink Postpaid since it’s cheaper and from what I can see, not much difference right? |

I am actually very confused with all the new hotlink postpaid/prepaid plans. Does anybody who has any advice on the best value hotlink postpaid/prepaid plan? I use about 10GB per month. Would prefer to have at least 20GB at least?
