Hello there. Just wanna get some clarifications here. I don't understand what Celcom meant by 'Monthly unlimited but with 1GB Allocation' under Celcom's broadband mbasic plan. Also, what is the meaning of best daily effort (the speed section of the plan)? Planning to get Celcom over Maxis as my relatives recommend it more. How does the overall speed fare against Maxis? I live in KL and rarely go out of town, using Galaxy SII. =] edit : By the way, link to the plan details here. From Celcom, obviously =P http://www.celcom.com.my/exec/plans/ce50_tnc.phpThis post has been edited by drakzero: Jan 29 2012, 11:48 AM

So for the celcom plan I'll still need to pay 88 buck a month once all my rebates are over eh? Sounds a little costly. But I guess all the plans are around that price. Thanks for the heads up =]

Hello there people. Have a little questions here.
First, I applied for Celcom's Exec 50 mBasic plan. ( so it's RM 50 voice plan and RM 38 data plan) and I've a few questions regarding it. Am using Galaxy S2 by the way.
1. How to I check my current usage of data and voice plan? Is it only via internet to check? 2. How do I actually activate my data plan (as in to use it). Is it by holding power button and select data network mode? If I do that, it'll have a up/down arrow icon with an E on top. Is that right? 3. Do I need to switch off the data network mode when I'm not using it? 4. If I use apps like latitude (which requires GPS), will it be charged into my voice plan or data plan or does it incur additional charges?
Sorry if I seem like repeating some pretty common questions but some of the answers which I've found is rather old. And most doesn't even sound like an answer. Many thanks ahead! =]

Thanks for the speedy reply. What is the short code that you mentioned? Is it the SET to 20999 sms? I did that but nothing happened. Is it okay as long as I can get the data transfer? ( The updown arrow with an E ). The speed is awfully slow though o.o
