I'm thinking of having 2 lines. One with data plans, the other just purely calls & sms. Which provides good rates?

Maxis VPI 50 is enough but mind that, the data is not sufficient for you.., you need to add..,
ok.. let see the Maxis Value First 30 [it is new one now]

75 mins of calls[to different network = RM 0.20 X 75 = RM 15
100 SMS = RM 0.10 X 100 = RM 10

so total is  = RM 30 + RM 10 = RM 40 ,

the talktime rebate is up to RM 30 , so.. it is waste if you don't use it..  biggrin.gif

Plus , internet package = 500MB for RM 38/month..

so RM 40 + RM 38 = RM 78/month biggrin.gif
Celcom Exec 20 , Access Fee is RM 20 + RM 15 + RM 10 = RM 45

plus mobile internet , Celcom broadband mLite [300MB] = RM 28

overall  , RM 45 + RM 28 = RM 73
so.. Maxis VPI 50 is still better package .. since you have more SMS  thumbup.gif

but need to be careful about the data.. you can always add RM 18 for 100MB data
based on your usage  biggrin.gif
prepaid or postpaid..?

if Umobile okay for you .. just go for it..

prepaid = Top up RM 10 for a month , enough for you  smile.gif  you get free calls and SMS too

How do you mean based on my usage? Well, currently I'm using Celcom, and my bill is around RM150-RM180. That is include data. Another line I'm planning to get just to call and sms, maybe usage would be around RM30-RM50. If this is what you mean.
