QUOTE(YoungMan @ Jul 6 2023, 03:28 PM) If you use for long term it is a good investment to get your own modem. ISP provided modem usually not so reliable. Go check out the U Home 5G topic. There are recommendation for modem. Yes, I had check that one. I will think about it. Maybe I will wait a year before proceed to buy it.

QUOTE(JLA @ Jul 7 2023, 09:50 AM) no need buy new modem if u already have 4G one or use spare smartphone as a modem 5G modem cpe price will drop over time unisoc 5G RM6xx, cheaper than huawei 4G B618-65 mediatek 5G RM1k , promo raya end snadragon / balong hilink device bundle with contract or sim only no contract is your choice Currently I'm using HW-B310. Is it a downgrade if I change plan from P99 to U Home 5G? P99 - Unlimited data + Video Onz + Call Onz = RM99 U Home 5G - 1TB data = RM68 (4G will be unlimited forever?)

Which prepaid plan currently offer unlimited SMS and local call (including call center)? At the same time, I also need at least 30GB data and 3GB hotspot.

I don't think there's prepaid offerring unlimited SMS now. Unlimited calls is also exclude 1300 and special 5 digit numbers.

I'm currently using my fiancee's supplementary line on Maxis, she's looking to downgrade her plan so I'm planning to port out.
What telco with high coverage in Malaysia has the cheapest plan, contract free, with 20GB or more of data/month, and includes 5G? Trying to figure the T&C of Maxis and Celcom atm, both are pretty confusing.

For 4g coverage I think only the 3 telcos (Celcom, Digi and Maxis) has larger coverage nationwide. For 5G currently it should be similar since all using the same DNB infra.
