Hi, anyone can suggest a prepaid sim card for me to use as alternative sim card?

I plan to use it for e-commerce account as my main mobile number is being banned. It will be low usage of call but prefer some free small amount of data and not need to frequent topup to maintain validity.

I was thinking about Unifi Bebas plan.

Any better suggestion?

Hi, i have 2 numbers, 1 is Celcom (5Gb + 5Gb plan - Rm 38 monthly) and another is Hotlink Youth Club (very old plan).

Query1:
Celcom has been fine for me until recently, where i moved to a new place with no internet, so i am using my data. I don't mind adding data but the passes are quite high, starting at Rm20 for 5GB (the minimum). It also says that is it valid till end of the bill cycle which will be in a few days for me. Best option is to port to Digi Rm60 (25GB)?

Query 2:
Hotlink number is mainly kept for SMS pins/banking and i like this number. I will usually do share a top up with my mum's phone and keep the line active for 2 months before i repeat the same cycle. Any other option to keep the line active at a cheaper cost?

answer 1:

option1: port the number to xox prepaid, then port the number to celcom prepaid. rm45 no sst 6mbps data 100gb fup + unlimited call.

option 2: port the number to digi prepaid. rm45 no sst 40gb data + unlimited call.

answer 2:

option 1: port the number to xox prepaid. buy season pass and get 28 months validity. sim card and season pass cost min rm40.

option 2: port the number to celcom prepaid or digi prepaid. rm1 credit can extend 1 day validity. do it every month. sim card cost free if do mnp at celcom centre or digi store.

Hi,

Is Digi infinite 150 still available? I'm currently on infinite 100. Planning to upgrade plan or change to other Telco as lately I'm experiencing online streaming lagging. I am a heavy internet user (average 80gb). I usually use internet for online streaming (movies, kdrama etc, no downloading), social media (fb, ig).

i compiled some telco frequency bands, could someone help to verify/amend/complete it for future reference? It's useful to avoid buying the wrong phone that doesn't support the telco network. As follow:

LTE band 1 (2100)
LTE band 3 (1800)
LTE band 5 (850)
LTE band 7 (2600?)
LTE band 8 (900)
LTE band 20 (800)
LTE band 38 (2600?)
LTE band 40 (2300)

Unifi Bands: 5, 38, 40
U Mobile: 1, 3, 7
Maxis: 8

(pls edit/add on, TQ)

No Digi infinite 150 has been updated. Digi has a new postpaid 150 with not so user friendly T&C. I’m unable to paste the link here you can check it in the telco talk section under Digi infinite 150 dated May 02, 2021

Sorry would like to check on your Option 1 reply.. Why can't we directly port the number to Celcom prepaid rather than porting to XOX prepaid first then later port to Celcom prepaid ? Is there any pros in doing so? I am a Digi postpaid user currently with RM50 + SST with 20 GB data + unlimited call and thinking of making the switch to your suggested Celcom prepaid plan for RM 45 + SST with 100gb data + unlimited call.

Thanks for your reply in advance.. notworthy.gif

celcom postpaid cannot convert to celcom prepaid directly. if from digi, just mnp directly to celcom prepaid. prepaid no sst tho unless youre foreigner. so with rm45 per month, you get 100gb 6mbps data + unlimited call. after 100gb usage, still can use unlimited data with 3mbps speed.

Hey guys,

Currently using First Gold Celcom postpaid plan around 100/month, looking to downgrade my mobile bill to around 50/month - anything around 8GB and above would suffice. Wanted to sign up for XP Lite RM38 by Celcom but ineligible due to being existing customer.

Looking at Digi Family Plan right now since my mom's phone is also no longer contract-locked and she uses very little data and always have leftover (currently on Digi Postpaid 50).

Do I have any options outside of Digi that I'm not considering?

celcom dont allow downgrade plan. mnp to redONE Postpaid Amazing Plan 38 ?
Basic at its best – Why spend more for something you don’t need?

Hi guys. Can recommend me cheap mobile plan with long validity? don't mind about prepaid or postpaid. It is for my retired dad since he uses the house wifi for internet most of the time and does not call very often. Prefer plan with some mobile data as well.
