Hi there... Please help me with expected bill from Celcom if I subscribed to any of their services:

Plan: Exec 50
Monthly Commitment: RM50
Expected voice and sms usage: RM30
Weekly Broadband: RM20x4

Excluding taxes and promotional discounts, how much will Celcom charged me and how Celcom treats the commitment fee? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you... hmm.gif

I don't think there is such a plan, I might be wrong.
However there is this DiGi Smart Plan which costs RM 68/month has a limit of 3GB data transfer, anything excess will cause your speed to be throttled to 128kbps.
As for other usages besides data will be on Pay As You Use (PAYU) basis.

Thanks, but is there any cheaper plan? I don't need until 3 gb usage.
I've said unlimited before but that because I dont want any extra charge if I accidentally forgot to switch off.

or maybe its better to switch back to prepaid? I'm using celcom exec50 right now

guys im a frequent texter and quite so for calls. currently using prepaid with usage around RM50, celcom. most of my contacts are so i would like to retain my telco.

here's my question, can i switch to any postpaid plans which would make me eligible to phone subsidies(like digi's iphone plan) with max usage of 60/month? i really want to keep my no.

A foreign friend left behind a Tunetalk SIM. It seems like a quick email check, update news app or quick check of a webpage only uses up 5 sen each time. A leisurely session used up 15 sen. I couldn't believe it was so cheap.

Then I put back my Maxis prepaid and before I noticed the 3G blocker app wasn't on, 10 ringgit was gone, just updating routine stuff in the background.

If you want to try, a new Tunetalk only costs a few ringgit. It might be all you need. Later you can switch your number over to them too.

If you're on DiGi Prepaid (Hit 1), you can pay RM30 to have a 1 year validity. You'll need to have a minimum credit balance of RM35 before you do so. So you can have RM5 sitting as balance for the rest of the year without worrying about top up.

Hi guys I am going back to Malaysia for 3 months and will be staying in central region (Damansara).

I would like to know what is the best data + voice plan (Blackberry service not required) for my iPhone ? I am not a heavy internet user and I seldom call (A monthly cap of 5GB is just nice for me).

I have been looking around and Digi Smartplan sounds nice. It is just what I wanted where I get unlimited internet access with decent voice rates. However, I am not so keen in subscriping to Digi due to unsatisfied experience in the past.

Any similar plans from Maxis or Celcom? Either prepaid or postpaid is fine. Is the celcom D99 unlimited package still on?

PS: I am currently on Hotlink and I can purchase their weekly prepaid broadband for RM25. Kinda pricey.

Thanks! smile.gif

Hi there!

This is my insight of the matter for postpaid.

1. DiGi is good and really affordable. One of the best thought. Cheap and affordable especially with unlimited data plan. Good coverage but some places, not that good. 8.5/10

2. Celcom is marvellous but it Is costly. If you want cheaper, apply for P148. It is registering as corporate user. You have to give a letter of appointment from the company. What so great about this? Pay 148 monthly and included uimited data. Very reliable and I notice the signal is stronger than DiGi. Due to price, I give it 8.5/10

3. Maxis is fine especially if you have average budget. Coverage is good too but I think not as good as Celcom but better slightly then DiGi. Negative thing about Maxis is, you get 'funny' charges on your bill and Maxis don't bother much about it. My gf's sis experienced that. 6/10

Just my 2 cents smile.gif

If you are light usage, you can actually try digi or maxis light data plan. I still prefer DiGi over Maxis due to too many of my friends are paying more than what they are suppose to on Maxis.

i'm prefer celcom weekly RM18 for 8GB... don't trust the Average speed of 700kbps(d/l), 200kbps(u/l) or 384 kbps* they offer.. don't trust the HSUPA 5.76Mbps; HSDPA 7.2Mbps what ever kind of they offer... here the calculation of budget i'm using right now..

*Celcom Weekly: RM18 X 4 week = RM72 [2GB X 4 week = 8GB per month]
Digi Discover: RM68 for 3GB per month
Digi Explore: RM108 for 10GB per month
Digi Per Day: RM2 for 100MB per day [RM2 X 30 days = RM60 each day got 100MB quota]

if i purchase Volume Quota for celcom to beat Digi Explore RM108 for 10GB per month;

RM15 [1GB] X 2 = RM30 for 2GB
so here the calculation; RM72* + RM30 = RM102 for 10GB per month!!!!

so in within 7Days, i can control my quota to keep 2GB in 1 week, i use monthly i can't control my quota within not more than 2week, my quota is more than 10GB... smile.gif
