Hi,

I am a person who hates cellphone, I sold my expensive cellphone (gift from sister) few months ago. Alot of the time I get quite a few odd looks when I tell people I do not own a cell phone. People react with shock, anger, and sometimes envy.

Recently my family persuade me to get one again so they can contact me (though I dislike being bothered in my private time, but I guess family is excluded), I never call someone, SMS, use the internet, MMS or anything on my cellphone, so I don't really care how cheap the SMS rate or CALL rate etc.

I need something so my family can reach me whenever I am not with them, that's all. I am new in this, I don't wanna waste any unnecessary cash on cellphone communication related stuff.

Any recommendation?

Hi All,

I would need some advise on the prepaid. I'm looking for a prepaid telco to sign up and i will use this prepaid for data purpose only. Which telco should i choose and give me the best value? I hope that the telco will provide those no expiry credit and will only need the user to topup when they run out of credit.

hello,

i have some question on digi family plan, is it really free without any cap per month?
ive seen maxis & celcom stated that they do have cap on voice call & sms.

oh and about the digi family postpaid & prepaid.
if im using the family postpaid, and another line using the family prepaid,
as i understand it i need to pay monthly bill of rm30+rm15.
but does the prepaid line need to be topup like your usual prepaid line to keep it active?

I'm looking for a plan where 1 phone has little to medium usage (phone calls mostly), the other phone little usage, but needs data. Anything with subs available? 300 MB is enough, but it should not charge more when I go over it. Also, I only need that for a couple of months. I have the phones, so no need for new ones. Any idea what might work for me? It's all a bit confusing.

what's the best postpaid plan suitable for my usage now? currently on hotlink, usage maybe about RM50, sometimes more sometimes less. i would want to look for a postpaid plan which includes data connection usage too.

thanks

guys im a frequent texter and quite so for calls. currently using prepaid with usage around RM50, celcom. most of my contacts are so i would like to retain my telco.

here's my question, can i switch to any postpaid plans which would make me eligible to phone subsidies(like digi's iphone plan) with max usage of 60/month? i really want to keep my no.

Use the combination of New Hotlink Plan and Nitetone is best suited for you since your usage characteristics are low outgoing voice calls but need the longest access validity.

Here's why:
1) New Hotlink Plan gives you 90 days access validity with just RM5 top up.
2) Nitetone gives you cheapest call rates for unlimited non Active10 contacts and the credit validity can last for 1 year.

And the best thing is, you only need one sim card.

Try MostSMS.com for free PC to phone within Msia. This cuts down SMS bill so much that I don't worry about an occasional whatever full-price message. Some people warn about spam but so far nothing. Maxis worse, has daily ads.

hopefully someone can advice me on which plan should i go for. basically i need big and fast data package with lowest possible phone call/sms bundle. the call/sms rate can be as high as 10-20 cents its ok because i rarely call/sms. i just need the lowest possible minimum usage per month. internet data package is much more important for me, preferable something like 1-2gb or unlimited with relatively high speed. my college is using 12 mbps, house is using 20mbps so i need something that i wont feel slow when im out of this 2 place.

till now i think i heard about Digi's iphone plan only, rm58 per month with 1gb data package? preferable i want my phone online all the time. to be honest, dun like digi, prefer Celcom but i think for celcom free data package, i need to have minimum commitment of rm250 per month at exclusive 250 package?. but please do advice me in a few choices...

Exactly. This New Hotlink plan is most suitable for lite user who are not qualify for HYC or UOX. Combo it with Nitetone airtime, it will be the most economical prepaid plan in the market.

Need some advice here... I just got a smartphone and thinking to subscribe to a call & data plan... I'm a person who doesn't call much, more of messaging and need an internet data package for some surfing - google, mail, facebook... I think 3GB quota per mth should be OK...

For now, I only know bout Digi Smart Plan, which looks OK to me at RM68 per month... Maxis is not so attractive to me as it's kinda expensive.. Celcom I'm not really sure, but according to the post above, it's RM250 commitment?? Seriously??

So any advices please? Thanks a lot!!
