What most steam replica customers do is they buy a cheap remote control from a toy shop,
put the toy aside, take the servos, battery and radio control and use them on the steam engine.

You basically need a 2 channel rc to control speed and left and right. If buy the Showman's Steam engine with the lights
then get a 3 channel one so you can turn the lights on and off.
