neway, i think you got the wrong concept of chem. eng. it has very little to do with chemicals as compared to other eng. subjects. u will be into thermodynamics, heat transfers, fluid dynamics more. dont get it? u better not take it then.

it is not too late for you to change course, only in you first year, you dont want to drop out later. monash is not for those with weak heart.

i think i was in your shoes when i was your age, i just tranformed into a robot n do what i needed to do. got my degree now, it is not so bad.
