Carlo Ancelotti has agreed to become the next manager of Chelsea.
The Italian said ‘Yes’ earlier this week and talks are continuing about the contract he will sign with the Blues.
Starsport revealed earlier this month how owner Roman Abramovich had picked the AC Milan boss because he liked the way he operates at the San Siro.
Ancelloti has been happy to tell owner Silvio Berlusconi which areas of the team he feels need strengthening – and leave the actual choice of players to the politician.
Russian tycoon Abramovich is keen to have more involvement in recruitment and has now persuaded Ancelotti to quit Milan after eight years.
Officially, Ancelotti, 49, is having to maintain he is not leaving the Italian giants as his team bid to secure second place in Serie A.
Starsport also revealed this month how Ancelotti has been having English lessons three times a week. Milan have a ready-made replacement, with former Barcelona boss and Milan favourite Frank Rijkaard set to return after a year out of management.
Earlier this week Guus Hiddink, who will return to Russia full-time in the summer, name-checked Ancelotti when he was asked about fellow Dutchman Rijkaard succeeding him.
“I know Frank but I know Ancelotti and other candidates whose names have appeared,” said Hiddink.
England star Ashley Cole is ready to sign for life at Chelsea with the Blues set to offer the 28-year-old a new deal this summer.
i would prefer Rijkaard or Hiddink. If the club will be able to get kaka through Ancelotti then it would be a good choice. But the newspaper said Mu is prepare to swop Kaka for 70m by selling Ronaldo to R.Madrid.

MANCHESTER UNITED held talks with Kaka yesterday over a sensational summer move.
The Brazilian’s representatives met United to discuss personal terms which would total £35million in wages alone.
A source close to the AC Milan superstar confirmed: “It was a very positive meeting, although nothing was agreed.
“The player wants a five-year contract and wages of £135,000 a week. He is very keen to join United and these are figures that are within United’s pay structure. It’s up to them what happens now.”
The talks did not involve any discussion about a transfer fee but Milan expect to get at least £70m for their star player.
The big question now is how United will find the cash — and whether they will sell Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer to Real Madrid.
Kaka, 27, has already spoken of his affinity for United, saying: “They have some great players in Giggs and Scholes and especially Wayne Rooney.
“One of my best friends, Anderson, is also there — how can anyone say no?
“They are the English and European champions and a great club to play for.”
Shevchenko are going to come back from Milan because Milan will not pay 9m for him to stay there.

CHELSEA’S £30million flop Andriy Shevchenko is heading BACK to Stamford Bridge.
The striker’s loan deal with AC Milan ends in May and they will not pay the £9m fee to keep him.
He has failed to make an impact at the San Siro and coach Carlo Ancelotti, who is in line to take over from Guus Hiddink, is not including him in his plans.
Worse for Chelsea is Sheva, 31, will claim his £121k-a-week salary and he has TWO years left on his deal after this summer.
The only way they can offload him is to make him a free agent though they could still have to pay him compensation.
Chelsea are going to offload Anelka with a right price.

Chelsea are willing to listen to offers for Nicolas Anelka at the end of the season. The France striker is the Barclays Premier League’s joint top scorer, with 15 goals, but will be available at the right price this summer as the club attempt to raise funds to complete an extensive overhaul of their squad.
Anelka’s goals kept Chelsea involved in the title race after they struggled under Luiz Felipe Scolari at the start of the season, but many at the club remain unconvinced of his potency at the highest level despite a haul of 21 goals in all competitions. It has been noted that the 29-year-old has not scored in any of Chelsea’s matches against their top-four rivals, while he has managed only one goal in the Champions League, in a 1-1 draw with Bordeaux last November.
Anelka has also suffered in comparison to Didier Drogba, whom Chelsea are desperate to keep at Stamford Bridge despite there being only one year remaining on his contract. Anelka’s form has dipped since Drogba returned to the side from injury — he has not scored in Chelsea’s past 11 matches — leading many at the club to question whether they can play together on a regular basis. Chelsea’s priority is to hang on to Drogba and they are willing to sacrifice Anelka to buy a more effective partner for the Ivory Coast striker.
Anelka’s excellent goalscoring record over a 12-year career should ensure there will be plenty of interest, but Chelsea will want to recoup the £15 million they paid Bolton Wanderers for his services in January 2008. Given such a price tag, Manchester City, his former club, and Tottenham Hotspur are the most likely bidders if Anelka opts to stay in England at the end of an itinerant career in which he has already represented eight clubs in four countries.
The former Arsenal striker could be one of several high-profile departures from Chelsea this summer as a new manager attempts to remodel an ageing squad, with the futures of Deco, Florent Malouda and Salomon Kalou also in doubt.
Chelsea’s immediate priority is a derby away to West Ham United this afternoon, but Guus Hiddink, the interim manager, will pick his side with an eye on the Champions League semi-final, first leg away to Barcelona on Tuesday. Ashley Cole is suspended for the game at the Nou Camp, so Hiddink will play José Bosingwa out of position at left back at Upton Park, with a view to giving him the far more daunting task of marking Lionel Messi on Tuesday. Bosingwa has been out for a month with a leg injury, but Hiddink insists that the Portugal defender is fully fit.
“Bosingwa will start there,” he said. “He’s fit and the injury has gone. He has practised this week, a rather tough practice, and there was no reaction.
“Bosingwa’s experience is important. It’s not common that a left-footed player plays right back, but you see more right-footed players playing at left back. I won’t say he’ll play on Tuesday, but whoever plays against Messi has a tremendous job to do. He is one of the most productive players in the world when he’s performing.”
Michael Essien, Michael Ballack and Drogba could also be rested this afternoon, but Hiddink confirmed he would not dare ask Frank Lampard to sit out against his old club. “If I would suggest that Frank should rest, he would be very angry,” he said. “Frank is one of those players who loves to play every day. When you see him after the Everton game the other day — normally a low-intensity session — he was doing his accelerations out on the pitch. He’s so strong. It’s in his nature to want to play.
“We have the squad fit, which means there can be a few other starters from the last game, so resting players is possible. But we have to take the league seriously.”
and R.Madrid and aiming for our MANCIENNE.

MICHAEL MANCIENNE has emerged as a shock target for Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants are keeping tabs on Chelsea’s blossoming England defender and hope to cash in on his frustration at Stamford Bridge.
He has played only two games in the Premier League since being hauled back from a loan spell with Wolves.
A Madrid move for Mancienne could be triggered in June following their presidential elections. Ex-sporting director Jorge Valdano is tipped to rejoin the club if Florentino Perez is re-elected on June 14 — and Valdano is a huge Mancienne admirer.
He has already sent scouts to check on the youngster’s progress.
