Petr Cech has been low i confidence a this site proves it.

Ex-Arsenal Star Parlour Urges Wenger To Target Chelsea Keeper Cech

http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2009...sea-keeper-cech

After a couple of suspect performances for Chelsea in their last two games, when he conceded seven goals and looked uncharacteristically nervous, goalkeeper Petr Cech is being identified as a potential weak link in the Blues' line-up.

Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour, whose old team take on Chelsea in a Wembley FA Cup semi-final on Saturday, certainly feels that Cech's shaky form and possible lack of confidence is something the Gunners should seek to exploit.

Parlour, who famously scored a sensational goal against Cech's predecessor Carlo Cudicini in the 2002 FA Cup final at the Millennium Stadium, has urged his former boss Arsene Wenger to target the shaky Blues shot-stopper with plenty of teasing crosses.

The 36-year-old, a Cup winner three times in his Arsenal playing days, told The Sun, “If I was Arsene I’d be telling Theo Walcott to charge down that wing and ping in as many crosses as he can.

“Stick Emmanuel Adebayor in the box against Cech and something could give."

Parlour addeed, “On Tuesday [in the 4-4 Champions League draw against Liverpool], Cech wasn’t just wobbly for the first goal. Towards the end of the first half a cross came in, he flapped at it and the ball hit somebody on the back - it could have gone anywhere.

“Cech is nowhere near as commanding as he was last season. His confidence is shot to pieces. I saw mistakes creeping in against Bolton last weekend.”

And regarding the free-kick that Liverpool left-back Fabio Aurelio scored against him, with Cech caught well out of position on his line, Parlour added, "Where he was standing was ridiculous. Even I wouldn’t have stood there and I’m not a 'keeper.

“Maybe the head injury Cech got a year or so ago is to blame. But he isn’t as commanding as he once was, he is not as brave.

“Perhaps the problem is lack of competition. Carlo Cudicini has gone and who challenges Cech now?”

Give your opinions about our once unstoppable keeper?

i miss stoch the most sad.gif but i think the reason for quaresma's omission has a lot to do with his inability to retain possession. gets knocked off the ball a bit too easily. crosses are world class when he's on form, but he needs better upper body strength to survive in the epl. that's why kalou gets the nod.

oh hell yeahhh essien's diving header! his reflexes were unbelievable..even in slow-mo it looked like the ball was really thundering into goal.
after he cleared it..not an ounce of emotion on his face. typical bison. laugh.gif

That's THE TRAIN for you. biggrin.gif Hope he will be able to 'derail' Cesc Fabregas tonight. Anyhow, he certainly makes the header looks so simple but in real truth, it takes a lot of training and an eye for accuracy. I think throwing your body in front of the shot would be much easier and less risky. laugh.gif

between him and gerrard, i have to admit its probably harder to derail the latter. but that's no swipe at his ability at all. been on fire lately.
the train driving bison should be up for it. laugh.gif yeahh he tried to head it away with precision..it looked so bloody difficult to time.
which reminds me...remember the dude who did the breakdance last season when alex scored from a freekick? he was in the wall..suddenly decided he's feeling funky. haha. it was west ham i think..or villa. espn couldn't stop showing the replays biggrin.gif

I just want Drog and Nic play together...play Malouda also...

wanna ask..this phrase mean? " Since scoring twice at Anfield in the Champions League, Ivanovic has been elevated to cult status with supporters. He admits he surprised himself too. "
