Good for you. Just dont do anything stupid with your laptop then.
Recovery discs is used when you suffers system instability, etc and you want to return your laptop to the original factory condition (the condition when you've just bought your laptop). In simple terms, it is a kind of "REFORMAT PC".
Its OK if you didn't create the disc. But when problem occurs in the future and your model have been phased out, you'll have to send it to the service center and wait for XX days just to perform System Recovery. With the disc, you an perform the system recovery by yourself and it only takes about 3-4 hours.
"Be sure to create recovery discs"
XD
Any DVD-R will do. Dont put DVD-RW. It'll reject it. It wont burn.
Yes, the recovery data is stored in the HDD.
Yeah. Thats right. It has all the information such as your OS, software, drivers. This means that if you wanna reformat the laptop just press F10 and if it doesnt work, Recovery Disc will be very important.Recovery discs is used when you suffers system instability, etc and you want to return your laptop to the original factory condition (the condition when you've just bought your laptop). Hi fellow FW users...
Have u tried out ur lappy with running only battery?
How long can ur FW lasts? Under what circumstances, i.e: what brightness, what program running, watching movie using ROM... etc.
Do mention ur battery size too (std/ext)

With the standard lithium ion 6 cell battery I could fetch about 1hr 30 mins playing Facebook and Football Manager 2010.
When its fully charged it indicates 2hrs 28 mins.
Gonna try again with minimal usage.

Are any DVDs will do to create the recovery disc?
What model are you using right now? How's your Vaio treating you?
My Vaio has been great to me. I am using FW56. Use it to watch BD and surfing the net. LOL. Sometimes I play the games that I cant play on PS3, like Football Manager...Are any DVDs will do to create the recovery disc?
