yauza!!! would it be wise to get extra 2gb??
*
may I know you wish to add till how many GBs?

TBH, 4GB Ram is enough for Win 7.

Even if you wish to upgrade the RAM, you'll have to scout for a 4GB module, because all the Vaios (except Z and certain high end models) are either using a 2+1 or 2+2 combination.

2+1= 2GB module + 1 GB module
2+2= 2GB module + 2GB module

1GB and 2GB module might be cheap, but not for the 4GB because thye demand (from consumers, not manufacturers) for it is quite low. If you still want to get it, be prepared to get ripped off from those low yat retailers. wink.gif

=O have you gotten your hands on the updated CW series then? Would the CW26 be using the GT330m gpu as well? how bout the pricing?

Yup. Yes. RM 4,999.

QUOTE(Username000 @ Jan 30 2010, 09:10 PM)
Wooot someone just confirmed this for me  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

The CW 25 comes in 3 colours, White Black and Pink, CW 26 4 colours, plus Red. And the CW 28 only comes in black.

Now to decide between the CW 25 and 26, anyone have any opinions of why I should get one over the other?

Still trying to get more news of whether there're more new releases, and whether the new CW's come with any free gifts  smile.gif
*
If you're thinking of buying a CW, my tip to you is, wait for the week before CNY. wink.gif

What's the purpose of the laptop if you purchase it?
In my opinion, the CW26 is quite a great buy because the Turboboost technology is something relatively "new" in the market. You're basically paying the same price (CW16) for something "new" in the market. Furthermore, you'll get a higher resolution screen with the CW26 and watching movies (especially BRRip) is so much nicer now. In addition to that, you'll get 500GB of HDD space for your usage.

However, the i3 is also at least a little bit better than the current processor in CW16, thanks to the hyperthreading technology. A good machine for every basic computer needs.

Go to www.sony-asia.com

Go Support > Access Product Support > Downloads

In the Search model, key in your PC model (eg: VGN-SR46GD) and click Search

Select "Windows 7 Individual Drivers and Utilities" and follow the instruction on screen.

Yes it is included, but many people thought their laptop is already qualify for "international service" the moment they swiped their card/threw their cash. But no. You'll have to register ONLINE for this service or call the local customer interaction center.

It is free. But like each and every freebie in this world, you'll have to do something to redeem it.

but NW has lots of old tech stuff such as T series C2D and DDR2 RAMs. The GPU isn't really important if didn't play much games.

CW25 can still support Facebook games and Dota, dont worry.

Its the all new Z series. Sony did pre-sales too prior to the launch of Vaio Z12.
Just a tradition. Sony loves to do pre-sales for flagship models.

QUOTE(Miyabi @ Feb 2 2010, 11:19 PM)
thats very good price deal of VAIO Z. lucky to those who get it, if im dont have the Z, i would get the new one in a heartbeat.
the real difference are lighter and able to switch the graphic from NVIDIA GT330 to Integrated Intel HD for batt saver.

spring 2010 models has a lot of choices of "netbooks".

The basic W, then the X for the masculine and P for the feminine, Y for those who doesn't want Atom and now the Z for those who wants Ultimate Performance with Ultra Mobility.

The roadshow is ran purely by Sony Malaysia so there's no restriction when it comes to testing the product. It should be delivering the same philosophy as their concept stores.

@kimwee85: The rebate actually ends on 28th February. smile.gif So, you can get your ang pou first then only buying it. XD
