Thats the reason i rather listen to some nobody knows music than mainstream.

I think boys put in more effort into listening to independent music, or at least a certain group of people. I like them but I don't go finding for them.

My little brother is usually the one introducing me to new bands/ singers and etc. Luckily we share almost similar taste.

Independents will move into mainstream sooner or later though. And once in stardom, though there are a number whom stay as their original state, most actually enhance just as the mainstream does.
