Dang.. So this is a scam after all ya?
I've been approached last November. Was on my way meeting my bf, from Pudu I went to CM naik tren.
The group of young boys and girls (macam baru habis SPM punya budak la..), were distributing the scratch cards.

The Indian boy, gave me one, insisting me to try it. At that time, hujan rintik2 (just to add the dramatic effect of this story , but it was raining ya). Sejuk and I was not in a rush so I scratched la.
Kalau tengahari panas jangan harap y'all..

I've got the silver circle (1 of the big prize). I can't remember, was it a car or a vacation?
Wah, felt lucky at that time. But still, I was being cautious. I always believe, there is no easy money.
The Indian and Chinese guys congratulated me, something like this la:

- Wah, akak.. Tahniah.. You dapat silver? Betul ka? You ada jampi ke? So lucky la you.. (tipu.. ini ayat skrip diorang la)
- Can belanja makan after this ah? (eh, never la)
- You need to call our headquarters and speak directly to the boss

So, I called and the boss also used the same script liao.. "Wah, anda sungguh bertuah! You jampi ka? Come to our office la, you can claim the prize straight away. Only valid today".
I didn't go there, ia sangat fishy.
The guys kept convincing me, " Akak, you rugi tau. Bukan senang mau dapat Silver".
Thanks, but no thanks.

Forgot to mention, they ask me to take a taxi too.. Memang takdela kan?
Also showing me the cuttings of a Chinese news paper to show their program. Saying they were published in Berita Harian.

1k man, can be spent on many things.

Ya, they showed the newspaper, making me feel that, hey, masuk paper, maybe it's true la.
The guy kept saying, check Berita Harian.

Also mentioned something about Midvalley, but I can't recall what that was

Ah.. So, I did promised by them to get a grand prize (which I know is impossible).
I scratched silver, they acted so happy

So, have you filed a report?
You went to Tribunal Pengguna or just settle with William?

You've filed the report, so it's good. Maybe you should wait until the hearing like Neve told you.

You should not feel that way la.. Be happy enough to get scratched a lucky prize, but pay them nothing.
Being lucky is a good feeling anyway.

But never ever pay them.

They never give up cheating, aren't they? Last time when they approached me, they asked me to redeem the prize at their office.
I only have RM10 in my purse, just enough to buy a KTM ticket and see my bf. Haha.. Scared pegang duit banyak2 around CM area. You know what, they said never mind, they can accompany me to the nearest ATM. WTH.

It's 2010 already.. What 2009 Mega Sales? Ask them about this next time. I heard that a guy was scammed 5k for this. Dalam radio la, he was very frustrated. Baru sampai KL dah kena con.

Many victims already get a column on Harian Metro.. Last that I've read is a Chinese college student.
He lost 5k if I was not mistaken.

He reported to MCA. He paid that and received a mattress which costs only several hundreds. Now, all together:
AVOID THEM LIKE PLAGUE!

If I was not mistaken, this bunch of locos has been busted by the police as reported in Harian Metro yesterday.
6 were arrested and the scratch cards shown in pic looked like theirs too

Yup, hopefully. I think this is the group because the description matches a lot with them - Conned people with electrical appliances as gift, magnetic mattress..

Oh, just remembered, the title is "Kaut rm12,000 Sehari"/. That's dang a lot!

How come you easily handed 4k, 8k to strangers?

Is the case closed? Or is it still operating around KL?
