Found link to this thread after I read the recent scam story.. wonder why I did not found here earlier. I was one of the victim too! My place of 'incident' is in KL sentral opposite monorail to be exact. Everything written here is happened to me, with the so called 'government tax' and in the end won the mattress. What I remembered the most is the 'student' told me she would help me sell the mattress if I couldnt sell it myself within 2 days. I did not lodge any police report because I was too scared at that time. Plus I'm just a student who came to malaysia to study and live alone here while my parents are back in my hometown.

I know this is not something to be happy about but I'm glad I found this thread where I could share some info to warn other people about those scammer..
