omg.. this thread opened last year april and there's actually recent victim? it seemed like this company is a big and famous one for the kores & menang scam. if not mistaken reading from the newspaper , they don't actually totally scam ur money? they just sell u those chepskate water filter, blender, vcd player at a very high price... and promise u that u will win a car from these purchase...

there's not just one company doing this i guess... i met a bunch of teen working for an electrical goods store in summit usj, e-store (or something) using same tactic say i won a set of "branded" hifi but i have to buy 3 items from a list of goods they listed, got water filter, juice extractor, iron etc.. any 3 total up about RM2k...

but i was in total doubt and told them.. this set of hifi cost Rm499 in Carrefour... so how.. and of cos a lot of yada yada, they began kinda "adubted" me to go out from their shop but am saved by the bell, my phone rang and i say have to go..

QUOTE(M_Shahrul @ Apr 20 2010, 10:33 AM)
Police cant do anything, government cant do anything, politicians can
do a little bit thing, but yea... Those bastaards scammers CAN do
anything... Its quite annoying actually when there's a weakness in our
law enforcement... I mean, my father and your father pay the taxes...
Then we should get a protection right... Thank God I report to PPIM and
get my RM2,000 back... Such a disgrace when only NGO (like PPIM and
tribunal of Datuk Michael Chong) can act more and more than other
established agencies...

yea.. the scam they running, the transactions, the goods, all are legal but of course the way they do it, unethical.

police, court, government & law can act on illegal acts i.e. drugs, pirated dvd, prostitutions etc..

but not unethical acts i.e. without pointing a gun on your head but able to sell a water filter at x10 times mark up and say you can enter a sure win contest.

thats y the right channel to go to is NGOs like PPIM. however the gov can sure invest on this helpful channel to be more efficient and run champaign such that ppl awareness gets higher, if they can run a champaign that gets 90% of malaysian off their light for 1 hour, they can make the scam less too

why these scammers are so lucky... they have not scam someone that would splash red paint and rage their whole office people with parang gangs. they deserved it.

always on the losing side when use legal action on unenthical people.
