Week 1 No Sign

Week 2 Sow may start to drink more

Week 3 Sow will start gaining weight, there will be a tightening of the abdomen muscles.

Week 4 An experienced breeder will be able to feel small foetuses

Week 5 Sow usually looks noticeable pregnant, taking on a rather rounded appearance. You will be able to feel the outlines of the foetuses.

Week 7 You will be able to feel "quickening" this is when the babies kick

Week 9 It may become difficult for the sow to move around but she should still be active and eat and drink as normal. The pelvic bones will seperate sometime during this week.

Week 10 The babies will be born

owh thats the opposite for me, in my case my piggies love Hagen GP more than anything else...even if i buy other more expensive products oso they dont eat as much as they eat Hagen...maybe because the pellet is bigger in seze (nice to chew) and the hay smell is strong...i personally like the fresh smell of hay, its like the smell of a grass field after rain,
Mine piggie too ... they love Hagen a lot ..
They will choose Hagen if I give them a bowl of vege and a bowl of Hagen there ...
Different story if I put in cucumber there =.='
they will definitely stick to the cucumber until it's finish doh.gif

P/S : Kaoru, you are from Klang too drool.gif

Hrm I'm wondering ....
Which one is the proper way to feed my piggies.

2 meal per day or 3 meal per day (like human).
I did some research on google, majority feed their piggie 2 meal a day but there are some feeding their piggie 3 meal a day. So which 1 ?

and

Every meal must feed with pellet ? I seldom feed them with pellet. Their "main course" for every meal is vege (most of the time unless I run out of vege in the fridge). They will have pellet once in a blue ( 4 times a week and usually is during morning only )and their hay will be their dessert and tidbits.

I see there are people feeding their piggie both vege and pellet at the same time for every meal. Their main course is pellet and vege macam their appetizer.

How huh ? I should should feel them pellet every meal that come with a little bit of vege too ?

hay is their main diet.. it is a must hav all the time, tis is to help the digestion.. timothy hay for 5 month and above and alfafa for those below 5 month.. pellet is like snack to them.. appetizer...vege is feeded as well twice a day , once in the morning and evening..mine i always giv them hay 1st.. after they sian menguyak it .. i put in pellet.. then goes the vege .. they always eat the vege for a while then go eat hay  and pellet for another while  then come back for the vege again..they will finish the vege 1st (never lasted longer than 15 minute sweat.gif ).. after that aim for the hay and finish up the pellet..

So how much vege I should give ??? and How much pellet I should give ??? ( I mean a healthy propotion because I give them quite a lot I think ... I scare they NGO CHAN biggrin.gif )

Usually I give half of the big carrot ... ( half carrot to feed 2 gp and mine is under 6 month definitely ) then a little of pellet ...about SEGENGGAM of my hand and hay I keep restock it when it's empty just like their water.

Note: Their vege bowl usually have more carrot then other green vege but from this Monday onward I already change the vege bowl to have more green instead of more carrot because I read from some where that they actually only need about 1 baby carrot size per day and not as much as I feed them previously.

i usually giv them 2 pieces of lettuce leaf, 1 part of bell pepper only (4cm x 6 cm); or 1 chuck of paisley, 4 baby tomato .  twice a day, alternate menu by the day..hay is restock when the hay is "old' or finish.. pellet is restock twice a day as well, as i seldom overgave them, maybe half palm hold each time only. i thought too much carrot is bad for them.. cause watery poo..
*
Thanks ^^

Today I went to vet for check up and Dr.Jenny it wasn't pregnant. It eat too much ... What a relief. My bf sponsor me a new cage for them and they are now separate. Too much carrot the poo wont be watery so far as I see ... but when I gave too much cucmber or other greeny vege to them, they only tend to have a little more moist poo ...
No worried ... I think they will be doing fine soon as I change new menu to them already ... More romaine lettuce and green pepper + a little carrot and some time I give them celery or kangkung

I also dont know haha. Some people dont know got such thing, American Gene and Local because it's not in "breed" term. It's more to the "gene" that makes them look rounder.
*
Lol, if those local breed the charge for exp price and white telling the buyer it's american gene then ma kena potong ???
T.T
But whatever breed I also like as long as it's real FAT and round ... cute ^^
But usually they sell for a normal Short hair ??
I hope I never get con that day when I bough my both piggies back few months ago

how do we kill the mites if gp got one.

using shampoo or using the spray one?

any suggest?
*
I went to Hand and Paws,Dr Jenny there . She give them about 1/4 of a tube ( because mine piggie is still small) kill mite punya ubat . You need to comb you piggie after 1 -2 days because even they mites die they will still lekat at their fur. So comb it away. It drop easily smile.gif That ubat actually is for cat but still can apply on piggies ( info by Doc. )
That ubat berkesan for 1 month and after 1 month apply again. It cost you less then RM15 a tube.
From my opinion is much more better than using vinegar bath as I worried they will lick their fur and can accidently eat those vinegar ( Doc advice on this too )

Hope this is going to help smile.gif
