guys....newby here. is it advisable to mix the speaker configuration i.e. 1 brand with another. Currently I'm running on a pair of Xavian 125XN and am looking for a center, a sub and a pair of rear to complete my set up....any advice?

Its advisable to use the same brand across the front 3 for timbre matching so the soundstage will be seamless when there is any panning from left to righ or vice versa. However, if your receiver has some kind of equalization such as audyssey, it helps a little in integration. If you are not picky or fussy, I think it should be ok. Would suggest you source for the same brand center if possible, or if you have space for it, move the front twos to the rear and get a new set ( Front,Left and Center ) for the front wink.gif

Hi SyriuS, i definitely has space for it but i got not enough moolah for it :-)
Anyways, thanks for your advice. yes you are right, my friend told me to get the same brand and for Xavian, they only have 1 center which is Xavian Evo.
