screen size calculation:
http://myhometheater.homestead.com/viewing...calculator.html

THX recommends a maximum 40-36º viewing angle for a more involving imageº

looks like your angle is 44 degree...too wide for comfort.

yonggoh,

You can find these clone skyline diffusors at Junwei Shop. I have replaced the absorption panels at my back wall with these 6 diffusors and they make audible differences to the sound. Another place suitable for them is the ceiling 1st reflection point. In fact, they are very effective at side reflection wall too.
pierreye,

Very nice looking HT room. I particularly like the sofa!

Then, I must ask Junwei to SAPU KAU KAU these diffusors. I need some more.  ohmy.gif

If not, the wood diffusors albeit costly.

how much are they selling the skyline diffusers?

The pro installer initially use a pole for the pj but needed keystone +3 correction. After some discussion, and showing him the Mitsubishi PJ Calculator, we decided to do away with the pole.
He also helped to wall mount my Unifi Router and Modem, installed the custom TV bracket at the same time.
He was doing all this alone, so I guess that's why it took him so long.
Also quite meticulous and careful e.g. used a small box to collect the dust as he drilled, drilled very slowly and explained what he was doing all the time.
*
care to share his contact number and how much he charges for installation?

under 4k would be very tight and you won't get the best from the projector.
But the huge size getting from the projector will definately compensate for maybe little lost in piture quality.
FYI, a 100" screen is 4 times larger than a 50" TV
*
then whats the ideal budget for an experience on par with a FHD 50 inch LCD screen

The whole point of getting a projector is to get an experience much bigger than a 50 inch LCD screen, not to be merely on par.

i meant projector of course and defoe be better than a 50 incher..my worry is PQ as i would be dedicating it as a family hall viewing 100 incher time.
