If have dedicated room then go for projector. It is totally a different experience as you can turn the volumne way up without afraid of disturbing others...

QUOTE(g5sim @ Apr 26 2010, 09:45 AM) i have a question. I think it is personal preference. I used to have all equipment under the screen but on my new HT room, I place all on my right hand side... But giving me a chance to do it again, I would prefer to put back everything to the front like what I had before. Why i see lots of setups where the amp/players are placed under the screen? Dont the led lights from the amp/player distract movie watchers when watching movies? Imaging a dark scene where the screen is totally dark and you see dts hd master on your amp and Blu-ray 107.43 on the player. Wouldnt it be less distracting if the amp/players are placed at the side of the home or better still at the back (nearer to the projector (less cost on HDMI cable)) and easily reachable. Dun have to walk all the way to the front to turn off the power socket for example. Feel better pointing my remote to front instead of side, also give me more room. |

QUOTE(stevenplc @ May 24 2010, 10:27 AM) bro, this is not soundproof, this is sound treatment only, i'm not taking any package, i just count how many pcs i need in my room and then just bought them from the showroom. You pasted them on your own or the company did. How much you spent on the sound treatment if you don't mind sharing? |

QUOTE(mikapoh @ Jul 15 2010, 06:24 PM) My contractor is unwilling to do it since he says whole body can gets very itchy. Yup, same here. My contractor not willing to assist so ended up returning back to the hardware store... Can't remember the price... something like $199 per roll or something...But not so cheap either, 4'x2'x1' is selling RM12 if not mistaken. |

QUOTE(tepetlah @ Jul 31 2010, 11:48 AM) my small cinema room in progress..9'x14' only.. Congrats for the incoming HT room setup. Given me a choice I would do the projector rail racking that can move back and forward like some of the demo room for future upgrade as different projectors have different throwing distance.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Just my 2 cents. |

QUOTE(bassyee @ Aug 3 2010, 09:37 AM) Hi, i'm totally new on home theater system. Now my house is under renovation and i would like to know, how u guys hide those wires, especially wires for the 5.1 speakers. do i have to cut the wall, insert the pipe and conceal them behind the wall? Yup, put the pipe in first if you haven't got the cable. You can always put the cable later. Also put in bigger pipe in case you want to put in bigger cable... or placing more cable in one pipe.Need some ideas please.. thanks. |
