The "semi-full" previews of my dedicated mini home theater room.

Nothing fancy compared to Yonggoh's equipments, just budget system  blush.gif

Hi all,
Need some help here! Can anyone show me how to :

1. Rrun the Audyssey auto setup together with a SPL meter step by step? (especailly using the SPL meter after the Audyssey auto setup).
2. What is the difference between MultiEQ : Audyssey and MultiEQ : by pass L/R? Which one is better?
3. What is the difference between in LEF setup - LEF or LEF + main? Which one is better?

Thanks!

Its been long time since anyone posted any pic. Had a small addition to the HT in my family. Thought of sharing it.[attachmentid=3122287] Its a bit small. The second pic is the zoom in of it. [attachmentid=3122289] Finally, is another small toy I bought recently. A new DAC. [attachmentid=3122290]

The CM8 is very melodius. It is also quite easy to drive speaker but with enough power it will really bring out the audio nicely. The arcam had been good. I only uses it to play flac files from laptop. The sound is musical. Using it with my speakers is outstanding. Then again with the price for this DAC is nothing to complaint about

How much for the dac? My cmc2 having problem after i max the volume to -10db, is tat a problem to max the volume to -10db (denon) for B&w speakers?

The DAC i bought for 1400. I have never experience any problem on my speaker no matter how high the volume goes. What is the problem you facing ? I am using CMC by the way. What is your denon model ? I used to hook up this speakers to pioneer 819 before using the current emotiva.

I am using avr4810ci and cmc2/cm9 for 10 months. my max volume for last 10 months is -15 or -14db but one day i turn the max volume until -10db for 1- 2 hours then I found my cmc2 mid driver (yellow color driver) was spoil and the mid driver become very blur but luckly it still under warranty. Question here, why this happen?

very unusual - i'm using 4811 driving Wharfedale Diamond CS (centre) and 9.4 (front) at -8db. so far no issue at all. few things, you need to check.

1) Calibrate using Audyssey.
2) Set the speaker to 'small'.

Hi Jediknight. Yes, I have done that.

The cmc2 could take more than that. Must the speaker itself is faulty. Did you manage to claim warranty for it?
*
I also think is the drive having problem, it is impossible that cmc2 can't handle -10db. I have manage to claim the warranty but have to wait for 60 days for the part to be deliver....really unacceptable for waiting 60 days.

mind asking - what's the cause? also with brand like B & W - shouldn't the dealers here do a '1-to-1' replacement, afterall it's still under warranty.  sad.gif

i doesn't know what is the root cause, maybe the drive having issues and can't handle -10db. Luckly i test it now, if not i need to pay money to buy the driver myself. Normally, the quality of b&w speaker should be very good. I am using B&W 603/302/cc6 for 15+ years and it still working fine until now.
