I have a friend who converts his entire living hall into HT viewing, so guests apart from audio enthusiasts who come must sit in the kitchen!

In Bolehland, everything is also boleh.

You're missing out a lot of movie effects without a subwoofer. You might think you're not such a big fan of bass, but I believe a subwoofer will transform your movie experience. Then you'll be thinking "aiyah should have gotten a subwoofer earlier" smile.gif

really??? i dun have sub now.. do i missed a lot of effect?

Yeah your rear speakers are too high and angle is too much to the back. Ideally should be 90-110 deg. See this link: http://www.dolby.com/consumer/setup/speake...ig-5-1-txt.html and http://www.thx.com/consumer/home-entertain...speaker-set-up/

Yeah without a sub you're missing out on a lot of the LFE. Get a sub! It'll transform your HT experience.

ooooooo.... notworthy.gif

what if..... later i upgrade to 7.1 av receiver, so the current surround speaker i convert it to back speaker? so no surround speaker until i figure out how to put it (with wife's consent)... sweat.gif

hemm.. as for sub, how should i choose one? i don't want to annoy my neighbour but i don't want to miss the sub effect anymore..

If you later change to 7.1 then you can get a new pair of surrounds and convert the current surrounds into back speakers.

How to choose sub? Start with setting a budget. Then read some reviews. Then go audition your shortlisted subs.
