QUOTE(eugenecctan @ Mar 25 2012, 06:02 PM) Noted, which speakers to upgrade? I am very happy with my current speakers set for music, but dunno why for movies, I always feel that something is missing... I need someone that knw my speakers to give suggestion. Thanks. I suggest u test out well calibrated systems to find out what is the max potential for the audio and visual part. For me I'll go for a 92in or 100in projector setup first. I prefer the visual then next audio.

Check if your speakers have a hole behind to hook it on a nail.

nice and neat, though I will stick to all 5 cubes for ht and use the floorstander for music purpose.

QUOTE(ADJ @ Apr 23 2012, 10:19 PM) not yet, as of now I already have dirty looks from my neighbours slowly la, just a simple wage earner here Oh.. Then now I know why you prefer the different floor stander with your centre, due to the extra bass effects. Satellites without sub will have a lot of frequencies missing.

no no for mix and match.. for ht it's essential to get your speakers to match so that the sound will be uniform, so advisable to get similar speakers for all 5.0.
Don't purchase based on webpage, go out and listen to a few based on the same av amp as what you have and let your ears be the judge. Try to bring your test movie or cd so that the test wil also be less subjective.

Good start and congrats! one tip that i found useful.. dont use white paint for your room walls. As you can see a lot of light reflection from the projector, you wont be able to get good black levels and your black looks more like grey. Paint it as close as possible to matt black.
From the Celine Dion pic, can still see a lot of reflection.

QUOTE(ageh84 @ Oct 3 2012, 04:54 PM) Hi guys, I don't know where to ask maybe this the right place. I heard home theater room size good for rectangular room type not square room type. Planning Home theater + Gaming Console + Projector Computer Desk 3 or 2 seater sofa I have a Small room 10ft x 10ft Can anyone give suggestion where should i put the projector screen? computer desk that can fit 3 lcd monitor (23")? It can be done or not? for practical reasons the screen and speakers should be place away from the door so that it is not blocked. Also try to change your door opening to open to the outside rather than inside so you have more space to move around.
