If you can get yourself to Singapore, then most of the Denon and Onkyo will be around half the price... a 4311 approx RM5k+, you wont need to upgrade for some time.

QUOTE(ikan_semilang @ Feb 20 2012, 09:34 PM) almost a square.. it might be difficult to tune, but nonetheless still can be done. Perhaps a 60in tv will be the max u can go. The rest, use smaller speakers rather than floorstanders.Added on February 20, 2012, 11:04 pm QUOTE(mpyw @ Feb 20 2012, 07:00 PM) Next need to upgrade my wallet haha yea that's the best upgrade for me too. QUOTE(ikan_semilang @ Feb 20 2012, 11:13 PM) sure, as long as it is working why not try it out first? Due to the small space, it may be a good idea to put all your av receiver, dvd player etc at the rear of the room behind your chair, then your front will have more space to move things around.. Also to avoid having nails on the wall, invest in a custom room carpet and put the cables underneath it along the bottom side walls. |

Are u the Datuk? Actually this thread about sharing your own personal systems, but It's good to know what the Datuk is playing with, and also wonder who is the person who advise him to build a big cabinet in front of the speakers to block the sound from reaching the listener

Looks like Focal is a fav among the Datuks. I only auditioned it a few times, the Focal Utopia and it belonged to a 19 yr old student. It is quite forward sounding and he admitted using too much silver ie. pure silver solid core speaker cables and interconnects.

Then do invite him to visit our booth at jw marriot this year's audio show including bro htkaki's booth. He should be able to meet the whos who in audio including some European designers and probably some of the rich and famous owners like him.
Hmm i also found my friend's focal utopia to be bright but he told me it was because of the pure silver cables but the bass is superb and tight even at low volumes. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Mar 23 2012, 01:00 AM |
