If you can get yourself to Singapore, then most of the Denon and Onkyo will be around half the price... a 4311 approx RM5k+, you wont need to upgrade for some time.

laugh.gif will definitely keep Rotel 1575 and 1572 in mind  thumbup.gif

I am quite serious in sound and would definitely consider to have 4 sub in the room if I got a good job after study  laugh.gif

Do keep me in mind then, I have a demo set of 1572 with me smile.gif and also the same series monoblock. Willing to let go at a very decent price. They both have bi-amp features. Been upgrading too many things at once, now not enough storage space already lol

Your RB1572 is silver or black? how much you wanna let it go? Rotel monoblock is from the 10 series?
*
At about half the retail price. It's black with silver in the middle. Yea its also the same 10 series for the monoblock, or anything that you have to trade also can smile.gif

I got room with size 8ft x 7 ft...too small for make home theater room?
*
almost a square.. it might be difficult to tune, but nonetheless still can be done. Perhaps a 60in tv will be the max u can go. The rest, use smaller speakers rather than floorstanders.

Tq danny...currently got old speaker 9 years old..jbl scs150...enough isn't?

sure, as long as it is working why not try it out first? Due to the small space, it may be a good idea to put all your av receiver, dvd player etc at the rear of the room behind your chair, then your front will have more space to move things around.. Also to avoid having nails on the wall, invest in a custom room carpet and put the cables underneath it along the bottom side walls.

The whole point of getting a projector is to get an experience much bigger than a 50 inch LCD screen, not to be merely on par.

+1 true, what is the point of getting a 50in projector screen? biggrin.gif

Are u the Datuk? Actually this thread about sharing your own personal systems, but It's good to know what the Datuk is playing with, and also wonder who is the person who advise him to build a big cabinet in front of the speakers to block the sound from reaching the listener smile.gif

Looks like Focal is a fav among the Datuks. I only auditioned it a few times, the Focal Utopia and it belonged to a 19 yr old student. It is quite forward sounding and he admitted using too much silver ie. pure silver solid core speaker cables and interconnects.

Then do invite him to visit our booth at jw marriot this year's audio show including bro htkaki's booth. He should be able to meet the whos who in audio including some European designers and probably some of the rich and famous owners like him.

Hmm i also found my friend's focal utopia to be bright but he told me it was because of the pure silver cables but the bass is superb and tight even at low volumes.
