Boss, your room so narrow one meh?  blink.gif  In case you need to access those items at the back, how do you bypass the chair and cross over? shocking.gif

Ha, ha, that is my main problem. I am forced to exercise and climb over to the other side! Actually this is only part of my study room; the seat is placed in the aisle between my book shelves. That is why it is exclusive! Every available space is occupied by bookshelves! biggrin.gif

I think this will also qualify as part of my HT setup.

For my 60th birthday, the wifey bought for me an exclusive permanent Gold Class seat (admit one only) for my BD viewing pleasure; how sweet of her!  rclxms.gif
See, it is even diamond studded that looks like plastic!
This is a far cry from my previous 3rd class seat that I bought for myself, sigh. Just leave it to the ladies to do the shopping.

You are free to copy the photo (the first one or the second one, depending on your wish) to show to your wife or gf as suggetion for Valentine Day's gift.  rclxm9.gif
Good luck.

Ai yah, malulah to show. The centre speaker or even just the speaker cables of people's HT here already cost more than my entire HT setup so pai seh mah! Seriously, you are right, this is my home library and the AV stuff just fits in to the left-over space. Will show some photos of my AV stuff later after some clean-up. But promise you won't laugh first. rclxm9.gif

There is definitely a set up for private shows. But I was wondering, where is the wife going to sit? There is only 1 chair. On your laps? How sweet and romantic. Hope your legs can take it for the entire 2 hours movies show. blink.gif

Sabar lah, bro, sabar, everything comes to those who can wait! icon_idea.gif
About the damping effect of the books and bookshelves, it suits me fine since I am no great fan of heavy bass.

On bass. Some like it heavy for head banging. I liked it if it's tuneful and truthful. Not necessary the same thing.

Yap, a good sub creates a great foundation for music. It simply completes the sonic picture.

I saw Goldmund Telos 1000s in there.

There are quite a number of Telos 1000 owners in Malaysia. I was told that there is 1 Telos 5000 owner. Wonder whether it is the Penang elite audiophile. RM1mil power amp!

oo my good god..RM1mil for a power amp?

well i cannot say some people are crazy enough to buy that amp..because i would have done the same if i have RM50 Billion in my accounts.

i just started my journey into serious HT hobby, after 7 of HTiB years..my new setup is truly an entry level ones, but i should say it's way better than my previous HTiBs..well basic cheapo HTiBs they are.

well, for my home minister (my wife that is) is a waste of money spent on HT systems, but for me it's actually a blessing in disguise, as it drives me to work my hardest to upgrade our family standard of living..and to upgrade my HT systems at the same time!

Didn't know there was such a following for Goldmund locally. Only for the well heeled smile.gif

I wonder what speakers would require a Telos 5000? Then again it's probably for bragging rights tongue.gif

Then I read about this amp: http://www.extravaganzi.com/pivetta-opera-...sive-amplifier/ WOW...

Not sure about the loudspeakers.

In PJ, there is an audiophile who has Telos 1000 to drive Wilson Audio WAMM.
