Broadband Problems ds300 wimax modem

ISP/package: p1 wimax 1.2mbps
Location: subang jaya
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: yes

Personal equipment
Modem: ds300
Router: none
Firewall used: avg firewall

[u]Problem details: cant portfoward
First occurence of problem: common
Problem frequency:
Problem description: to log in the modem:
ip address: 10.1.1.254
username: admin
password: admin123
i have entered the modem and have learned that the lower the rssi the better. and there is option for us to port forward the modem yet i a not sure of how to do so. need help asap. please. thatnk you.

you want to port forward??
P1 is not available for port forwarding,
you should just ask the ISP..

Under networking there is port forwarding.
You mean you can't configure it there?

under net work there is port forwarding
however he is using P1, P1 cant port forward, thats what i said.

i would gladly get the wan port number because that is the oni thing you cant get and that is the one that is essential. anyone know how to get would definitely help alot of people out there. thank you

i confirm his findings. port forwarding in the modem can be enabled but P1 drops all inbound packets to your WAN IP.

Although P1 modem IP's are dynamically assigned, it seems that it doesn't change quite often. I've been logging on and off these few days from various different locations in Klang Valley, seems that my WAN IP is the same every time. But it's a shame that we can't port forward.

Anyone figured out how to open up the P1 modem physically? Because I was thinking of extending their antenna outside for better reception.
