I just turn off my modem about 10 minutes this morning, and my speed back to normal

update : the technician came to my house yesterday...first i test speed test at my ps3...download only 200kb/s and upload 70kb/s...the test using my laptop..first attempt download 1178kb/s and upload 90kb/s..test 2-3 time i get download more the 1000kb/s and upload still below 100kb/s... the guys said my upload got problem. He try change the modem and use his modem..also same..

check at the system said my RSSI = -78++ and CINR = 25++
don't know terbalik ke tidak...hehehe

He only take the report and do that test only..the have a chit chat..about 1 hour he cabut..that's laa...

One pelik this is..when they want come have a check, the speed become superb...after they cabut..the connection become slow..hayya...especially night time..explain to him...and he said that the normal thing...malam mesti slow..try use pagi or tengah hari..mesti laju.....

aiyoooo....siang kerja maa..mana ada guna...mlm saja guna...

My speeds at Setiawangsa is great from about 12am to 8pm - between 1.2Mbps to 2.7Mbps for downloads. However from 8pm to 12am, download is only about 500kbps to about 1Mbps. It's because more people are online at night, I guess. This has been very consistent since I've used P1 over the last 3 months.

Hi guys,

My friend have the P1 Wimax modem which is also a WiFi router. The signal indoor is really bad so he planed to use the WiFi dongle, he said he screwed up the configuration so he pushed the Reset button.

After that, he could not login anymore.

Is there anyone or anyplace where I could learn how to set up the WiFi thing?

actually, that page is for a service called HotZone which is hotspot service...it is not wimax..

i m scared that u are unable to configure it again since already press the Reset button..
u have to visit the HQ or call the technician..

tartputat - if you look at the screen carefully, you'll notice it's different from the P1 hotzone. The prepaid values offered by P1 Hotzone are 1 day, 7 days. 30 days. In the image shown, it's 10days, 20days, 40days, etc ...

Anyway, I've asked @P1media on twitter and they are not confirming anything. I suspect it's their new upcoming service ...

tartputat - on 2nd thoughts, you could be right. It could be just new prepaid options for HotZone. I guess time will tell.

Go to http://www.p1.com.my/support/support_techelp.aspx and download the dv230 install guide. All details are there. Default username is "admin" and password is "admin123"

update : today p1 call me and said my area don't have enough signal. So they will waive me for a month..and i can terminate p1 contract without pay anything on waive period...huhu...

Weird, my connection now, Red light blink, Yelloe light blink, green light blink, then suddenly turn yellow at it stays yellow.
