Just my 2 cent..get the 1000w psu....as 850w is adequate for sli but u will push it to the limit, esp if u have intention to OC both of your gc and cpu, and your  case is powered by lots of high speed fans.....My advise, use the power calculator at any reliable website, such as thermaltake power requirement calculator

Ya,i know...But from his sig, he is using Phenom X4 9150 with stock speed only...That's why i recommended him to get 850w psu...

blink.gif You might want to check the changelog for each driver version beforehand to see the problems it has with specific graphic card models. If 1000W PSU get the HX1000W thumbup.gif . Its around RM930. If u want cheap 1000W PSU I'd recommend Silverstone Olympia 1000 Evolution(OP1000-E). IIRC someone quoted me RM750 for it at lowyat. You want modular or non-modular?

even quad sli wont consume more than 800watts even with high powered fans...the fans dont even consume that much of wattage...a good 750watt PSU can power up a quad setup without any problems....link here http://www.guru3d.com/article/in-win-comma...u-review-test/6

An extreme oc core i7 (920@4GHz) system would require at least 400w just for the cpu alone>>> http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/overcl...i7,2268-10.html

I'm using i7 920 @ 3.8GHz with Acbel M8 PSU. If I'm planning to SLI 2 GTX 285, is my PSU up to the task?

Over heat?
That's not good.
By the way, if my power is only 400W
Is it enough for this card?

i think there's some problem with 1st batch of galaxy gtx275 tri fan
i bought it when it released and same thing happened on mine as well, failed in furmark + artifacts
then i changed to palit gtx 275 after that, passed in burning mode, temp a bit higher but never crash and artifacts before laugh.gif

well...
just to ask few questions...

1. Is it worth getting GTX275 than getting the GTX260+ Sonic216 (overclocked) ? [In terms of price and performance]

2. Do Silverstone 560W True Power sufficient to operate GTX275 ?

Thanks in advance !

ic..so the seller allow for exchange to another brand? great then. After return from RMA, don't know will them fixed the issue? Right now using sapphire hd 4890 OC edition, the fan making loud noise and dissipated a lot of heat when gaming and overclocking, the VRM temp can go up as high as 120 deg also, damn scary blink.gif
