I got a Stagg Les Paul copy + Marshall MG Series for RM 800 something.

Pros: (Everything) it has sealed tuners, mounted neck,(no screws) dual humbucking pickups, custom inlays on the fretboard, full body binding (inlays) & an excellent finish.

Cons: dont dislike anything so far.

Quality: The construction and quality of the guitar are similar of that to an epiphone or even a cheap gibson, afterall these are just "names" and unfortunately with some guitars all you are aquiring with your money...is the "name".

Since so far electric guitars :

Ibanez PF60S (acoustic dread) - RM 700+. I saw blue ones in Bentley.

Solid Engelmann (I think, looks like it) spruce top, mahogany back and sides. Wood grain is very nice on the mahogany, very tight and even on the spruce. Fretboard is rosewood, it has cream binding and synthetic bone nut and saddle. Comes strung with .11s, I changed to .12s. Ibanez 'smooth tuners' that look like Gotohs. Built in tuner but mine doesn't work.

Guitar bought this year but made in August 2007 according to serial number and made in China (not by Cort).

To me it's better and worth more than the RM 1000 Yamaha FG700S I saw in Beatspot and Yamaha (LDP).

Pros : Sounds beautiful plucked and bright strummed. The solid top makes it sound a lot louder than a lam top. The wood looks good. Comes with synthetic bone. Compensated saddle. Better than plastic, but I'm changing to genuine bone soon. Very shiny mirror-like lacquer finish. It is very heavy meaning good construction (I think) and has X bracing. Not that fragile. I've banged it a few times by accident and it comes away with no scratch or a minor one. Intonation and action good 'out of the box'.

Cons : Neck is like an electric guitar and my hands are quite big so it hurts after a while. I swear it's slightly bigger than a normal dreadnought. Nitpicking but - no fancy headstock, standard inlays and a really stupid 'RoHS Directive' 'sticker' at the back. It's like it's laminated on the lacquer so I can't take it off.

Thanks for the info.
I'm actually quite new to electric guitars, previously just played some acoustic guitar.
Urs is the Craftsman red color 1? how do u like it? the package comes with a microcube, and what else is in the package?

I'm more into soft rock like red hot chillie peppers. What kind of electric guitar is good for me? budget around 600-800
Thnx....

I just emailed ck music last nite, they said the promo packages just ended, but they have some new guitars coming in and they are trying to work out some more packages, and when they r done, it will be published on their website... But got 1 forumer oso pm me some offers...
But it seems i have so much to learn about electric guitar yet, i think i need to research more b4 bang on 1...

the line 6 spider is an amp rite? tuner is a device used to tune the guitar string?
the guitars u get is single coiled? isit humbuck more superior or depends on the genre u are playing?

Hmm...normally i service my guitar myself (those basic things) and amp i send to KL for repair (if amp got problem). But last time when i owned a cheapo Aria pro strats,i send the service to my uncle's friend. He's pinoy and very good at jazz music and he play at park royal hotel before. But 1st choice will be bring it to KL music shop for service and repair since they got all the spare parts there compare with in KT,which lack of spare parts and also repairing services.

I'm not really that pro, just been playing since i'm 16 and gain some experience with it. icon_rolleyes.gif
