I'm a PMR student this year, I'm doing my sejarah folio with a group of friends.

Me and me buddies chose V.I (Victoria Institution) as our project (The title for this year is Bangunan Bersejarah)

Just a gentle reminder to you all if you're going to do Victoria Institution.. please, for Goodness's sake.... DO NOT EXPECT A WARM WELCOME WHEN YOU GET THERE

The school is terribly busy. I've been there a few times already and I went there again this morning for the 3rd time.. There were like hundreds of people there,

ONE of the few REASONS:

amita bachan (Legendary Bollywood star) Was acting there and filming a movie.. (dunno how long will this take, oh well)

PTK Exams for government workers.

School is under renovation works

Higher Officials of the school are currently overseas

THE THINGS THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE GOING TO VICTORIA

1) Permission letter from your Sejarah Teacher (or school office) YOU MUST HAVE A letter stating you are a student for your school (SURAT PENGESAHAN MURID SEKOLAH) and (SURAT KEBENARAN UNTUK MENJALANKAN KAJIAN SEJARAH {MAKE SURE IT'S KEPADA: VICTORIA INSTITUTION, NOT SMK VICTORIA} The museum prefects will not permit you to enter the museum without this.

2) Permission from VI Office (plz contact the school before going there, and say that you want to visit the school museum and you will have to fix a date)

3) Gather up information on at least one person (related to VI, teachers, old boy, etc.) Their IC number, FULL NAME AS IN IC, contact number, e-mail (if any) you will need to paste the following details under orang sumber in your folio.

Things required for your folio (EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT DOING VI)

TAJUK KAJIAN: BANGUNAN BERSEJARAH YANG DIPILIH OLEH CALON (THE NAME OF THE BUILDING)

KANDUNGAN: SENARAI ASPEK KAJIAN SERTA HALAMAN (MENTION THE KANDUNGAN PAGE INSIDE YOUR KANDUNGAN ALSO, FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOUR KANDUNGAN IS IN PAGE 2, THEN STATE INSIDE THAT THE KANDUNGAN IS IN PAGE TWO)

PENGHARGAAN: PENGHARGAAN KEPADA INDIVIDU SERTA INSTITUSI YANG TELAH MEMBANTU DALAM PELAKSANAAN KERJA KURSUS (MUST NAME 3 FRIENDS (NOT FAMILY) INSIDE HERE WITH THEIR FULL NAME, AND IC NUMBER. TEACHER'S NAME AND IC NUMBER. PARENTS/GUARDIAN NAME (BOTH) NAME AND IC NUMBER. NAME OF THE ORANG SUMBER.


OBJEKTIF KAJIAN: MUST STATE THREE OBJECTIVES IN 3 PARAGRAPHS

KAEDAH KAJIAN OK, THIS IS IMPORTANT.. READ ON

THERE ARE A FEW TYPES, YOU MUST CHOOSE AT LEAST FOUR OF THE FOLLOWING:

1) Buku Ilmiah (reference book)
2) Orang Sumber (your informant)
3) Lawatan (recommended)
4) Dokumen (gambar, VCD,DVD, CAMERA, RADIO, TELEVISION)
5) Journal
6) Encyclopedia

Write down your kaedah in four paragraphs, elaborate them

- Bahan Binaan
- Pengubahsuaian (sekiranya ada)
- Hiasan Dalaman
- Kegunaan dahulu dan sekarang
- Cara Pembinaan

ATTENTION TO EVERYONE THAT WANTS TO GO FOR THE LAWATAN


You MUST take a photo of yourself/group photo with friends with the building you're doing as a background, to prove that you've been there to do the lawatan method, so don't even think of cheating you've been there, it'll never work.


THE REASON I'm DOING THIS

This morning, I went to the VI museum, (thankfully the prefect was there) the prefect waqs a form 6 guy, he didn't allow the students from other schools to enter bcuz they have no letters, really pity them, came all the way from other states ended up in failure...

have you or your party (or group of students lah) contact the VI party?. and did they give you all a 'go' sign before u guys went there?.

if not for either or both, then congratulations banget laa.

since when VI have museum prefects? i just call tehm attendants to the museum.

the previous school building is at jalan bandar. the police occupied it. try to go there also.

did you visit the legendary 206 building?

just brings some girls along and you'll be fine. its an all boys school and the sights of girls will bring joy to the students. hahaha

im doing sultan abdul samad too...try search at scribd...its all there...just need to copy back only...wohoo...lucky me,i juz started doing this folio on 5th of may n the due date is 7th of may...hahaha

Haiz... Relax guys. No need to get so worked up on this project. Trust me once PMR is over, you have a bigger hurdle to overcome.

This is one of the main reasons why i think that this kind of project should be moved to students who are form 2.
PMR students already got a big exam coming up for them and this project could be done when they are form 2 at least to ease up the pressure when they face their PMR.

hmmm, I'm still stuck halfway of this project.. eheheh... have to translate a lot of stuff!

Lol, i have to hand this to the teacher tomorrow and i only started doing this now.

hi... do u hav any info bout the sultan abdul samad building??

any1 know where to get buku ilmiah for the sultan abdul samad building? the book name is Old Kuala Lumpur by J.M. Gullick

I still remember that I did Museum Negara for this project and I'm the only one got A+ in my class.....lolz

1) Nobody is going to appreciate the hardwork you put into this project.

2) Cincai work will likely get you an A, or in your PMR cert "Cermerlang" at worst you will get "Baik". Even if you get "Memuaskan" who cares?

3)In conclusion, there is no point speding so much time on your Sejarah folio. Better us the time to study or have fun.

I am also doing museum negara. How many pages is the hasil kajian ar?mind to share?

Maybe you can try arkib negara?
Not sure whether there is that book, but I'm pretty sure there will be other buku ilmiah.

If I'm not mistaken it's around 60-70 pages included the 4 pages of photos I taken with descriptions....

the hasil kajian 60 pages? . or is it the whole projek 60 -70 pages?
