As far as I can tell, it's quite expensive but for people who really wants the phone, I guess the RM100 plan can be affordable !

i think the best still get it from Singtel or others official unlocked country rather than pay so much to maxis and get the same thing...

i think they know everyone is eyeing on iphone in malaysia so they do such a "good" plan

yes, it is better to have a new thread, as the previous one was merely a speculation.

just a suggestion davidgary73, you might wanna pin this up (for the time being whilst the heat is still boiling hot).

so that overly enthusiastic prospective iphone users will not just jump into the bandwagon to create new threads like "i heard maxis has the iphone, is that true?" or "how much do i need to pay for the maxis iphone?" et cetera.

that way, you can simply close their threads and point them here instead.

If your Maxis mobile service is in contract and you choose to recontract and purchase an iPhone 3G your existing Maxis contract will stand and you will have another contract running concurrently starting from the date you collect your iPhone 3G.

You will only pay the monthly subscription of your new plan, but should you have a temporary suspension of service, downgrading of price plan and termination of line pre-termination and/or liquidated damages charges for both contracts apply.

it's the contract that matters. once you've committed to like 1 or 2 years, there's no turning back. requires thoughtful consideration before jumping into the contract.
