*

yes. just go to admin page => file sharing =>Win/Mac OS=> Enable CIFS Recycle Bin

Enable CIFS Recycle Bin

Checking this option will enable "Recycle Bin" of CIFS, resulting in moving the deleted files into the CIFS Recycle Bin when users delete files in the shared folders via the CIFS protocol. When users delete files in a shared folder, a folder called "#recycle" will be created automatically under the root directory of the shared folder.

hi, bro...

QNAP TS-219P @ RM 1,850.00, we will suggest you to take TS239PRO ( better spec) @ RM 1999.00 ( ex-stock)

QNAP SS-439 Pro Turbo NAS is using 2.5" HDD (max is up to 500GB HDD [current max u can get from local market]) RM 2,399.00. Currently is out of stock, if you want we can special order for you. Estimate our next shipment is end of July09.

normally we will suggest you to take TS439PRO ( support up to 4 x 2TB HDD) @ RM 3,399.00 ( ex-stock)

Thx ! I will definately go around your shop soon :]

Waiting for paycheck ^-^;

Ps: By any chance does your shop also sell hard drives ? I am looking for the new Seagate 2 tb drive, or the Western Digital 2 tb drive. Cause if i get the 2 bay drive, i will need to cram in 2 x 2tb drives to backup my 5 x 1tb raid5 setup which has a 20% storage penalty.

Your recommendation is a good one, thanks for the advise. I also just found out the difference from the QNAP forum.

QUOTE
Dear TheWolf,
TS-239 Pro will be a better choice if you can get it. It is more powerful than TS-219P because of the 1.6GHz CPU and 1 GB of memory.

Both have built-in TwonkyMedia.

Both have 70mm fan, so the noise level is similar (both are quiet).

TS-239 Pro's advantages over TS-219P:
1. TS-239 Pro also supports dual Gigabit LAN ports for muilti-ip setting, fault-tolerance, and load balancing.

2. In addition, only the TS-239 Pro supports AES 256 bit volume-based HDD encryption, and Wake on LAN.

3. Reserved VGA port: you can connect a VGA monitor and a USB keyboard to TS-239 Pro for console operations (if you know Linux).

For a complete list of differences, please visit this link:
http://www.qnap.com/images/products/compar...arison_NAS.html

Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.

Sincerely

Jason

basically, TS-439PRO using Intel Atom processor 1.6Ghz vs TS509PRO using Intel celeron 1.6Ghz.

2) TS439PRO have 2 eSATA port vs TS509PRO only have 1 eSATA port ( this is useful when u transfer > 100GB data in/out )

yes, it should come with 1CD, if you don,t find in the box, please collect it from our showroom or download from http://www.synology.com/support/download.p...ng=enu&m=DS109j

basically, u just need:

1) Synology Assistant (Windows) or Synology Assistant (Mac) or Synology Assistant (Linux) => To setup Disk Station

2) Download Redirector (Windows) or Download Redirector (Mac) => To manage download tasks from user clients

3) Data Replicator 3 => To back up PC files to Disk Station

please remember to download the latest DSM2.2 which have more feature and function... + this is FREE.
