Most online public guides are really outdated & no longer practical except for certain class. Most updated ones are private, as in it's not opened to public.....so I can throw you a bunch of links but you won't be able to view it unless you're a registered member. What character do you need guide on? I'll try to help on that.

Join again, it changed a lot depending on how long was your break gap. You'll be surprised with the new changes yet feel nostalgic at the same time.

He needs to build up his high wiz, champ, sin X, and many more...thats why I asked for some links...it is impossible to ask all of it here. QUOTE(NightHeart @ Apr 29 2009, 06:18 PM) Second that. That's a lot of class you're looking for. Plus among each class there are different types of build as well.
Well, the best way would be to ask advice from players in the whatever server (no I don't know which, there's just too many out there) he's in. Cause differences that affects the gameplay exists across different servers. Or you can just be specific on what type of guide you're looking for & I'll see what I can do about it. |

Guide on building a strong certain character job...for example making a battle priest or mvp high wizard that is both good at pvp and mvp. |

Frankly, neither of those class are my forte but I got a Battle HP build for you; it's from Lasseyal....a player in my server, heard she's really good at it.
QUOTE Hi there, for having lost the 3 last years on building a stupid Battle HP I think I got to test every damn build and equips out there. It was actually a great caracter to use because you can go anywhere without a party and without multiclient. I have made a battle HP on my last 2 servers and didnt need any other caracter xept a merchant to prospere in midgard. The killing is just a bit slower than damage dealer classes. The only down side-> you need to be stuffed like hell because you always need to maximise your attack. The trick is to get to 82+28 str and being 99/70 (with atk stuff). When you go pvp you get the atk stuff down and gear up some more def so you end up with 82+18 str. And I'll tell you the first card you have to get. Marine sphere card. Its by far the best battle HP card out there. First of all theres a great atk bonus on neutral element monsters (even better on monsters that are weak to fire, the bonus atk will be better). But it doesnt give any bonus on water element monsters. Second, its a nice damage for HP since we don't have any f***ing skillz. On a disguise you can MB for around 1,6k per hit. So when you mob 15 of em its fast xp. Third, its elemental so it bypasses ray/nox and stuff like that, it also makes sure you don't miss ghosts (only when you MB though, the hits after that will only be the atk bonus amount i.e around 100 damage). Fourth, its a great repeller since it knocks back enemies and pvp foes. Great for tanking mvps and so on. As for the build I went 82+28 str, 62+21 agi, 68+7 vit, 39+22 int, 21+19 dex, 31+33 luk. With this you get 9305 HP, 1764 SP, 2016 heal, 20 crit. With this lvl and agi you can dodge easily most monsters xept those crazy dex ones, but don't mind on dodging too much, tanking is the way to go. The agi is mostly to gain a little aspd that really sucks (best pot you can take as a priest is concentration potion, that is, without mutliclienting). Int is way than enough, you can even support a little party of 3-4 people. The biggest con is dex. Low hit, slowww cast. So think before you magnificat :-) Luk is great for losts of things and doesnt cost a lot of points in small amounts. It boosts the crit rate just nicely and give a little pdodge. After that you can go crazy on crit with stuff. I can go up to 91 crit easy and get 40 pdodge. As for skillz, you will need to be lvl 99/70. Because you need SO many things. First off, DONT GET TU 10. Don't get any TU at all. Just find a cheap Grand cross seller and get TU3 for free without ruining your caracter. You will need: Increase spiritual power 5 Divine protection 5 Demon bane 10 Ruwach 1 Pneuma 1 TP 2 Warp portal 4 Heal 10 Agi up 10 Aqua benedicta 1 Angelus 2 Blessing 10 Rez 1(last resort party ressurection , get this one last) Mace Mastery 10 Imposito magnus 3 (5 would be the best...but would require to be job lvl 72) Aspersio 3 (long enough) Status Recovery 1 Kyrie 4 Magnificat 3 Gloria 5 (very important) Lex Divina 5 TU 0000000000000000 Lex aeterna 1 Holy light.....get it if you want, but you will do around 50 damage with that crappy int haha Assumptio 5 Meditation 10 (a must) Mana recharge 5 (a must) (you will have 1 skill point left after that,, you can either go magni4, Impo 4 or asp4). As for stuff well you can improvise a little. But mainly get nice def stuff and atk stuff. I use Porcellio saints robe, Bloody shackle ball, shackles, slotted vanberk pirate bandana, immune valk manteau for pdodge, superior HQ sandals (not +9 cuz I wanted a life...for pvm +4/7 is fine). If you wanna go crazy on atk you can get a greatest general card to gather up 5 spirit shperes (they spawn quite quickly). That wil give you an extra 15 atk. But switch when you are full of spheres. For tanking try to get a +7 stalactic golem monk hat. Its like a +7 spiky band but with 20% stun resist. For shoes I prefer vidars cuz they have 1 def more than tidals, and don't worry for not having the tidal/wool combo, remember you want to get hit the least amount possible....and not having a shitload of HP to heal and waste SP. So a vidar/dragon breath or valk manteau is the best combo since you loose less HP than with tidal/wool combo. If you wanna pvp get a +5 megalith HQ sandal, 17 mdef shoes ftw. Cornutus +7 saints is the way to go if you can't get a valk armor. Clock also works very well since it trigggers alot and gives you 17% auto guard. Blast rosary and safety ring on accessory. If you want to go crazy get a quad lunatic mace for that +4 pdodge on weapon (best pdodge you can get on a priest unfortunately). And since battle HP don't get like 140 str don't bother doing +10 maces with 3/1 card combos. Get some money and go slot some stunners. Less money wasted on cards afterwards and the damage is fine. Just overup your pvp weapon to +7/8. The rest can be +5 no problem. The only weapon that you should go with something else than a stunner is a +9/10 triple strouf chain. Since you will be mobbing lots of disguise, nightmares and so on, yoou dont want em to be stunned and thus having to do more MBs to finish off the pack of monsters. All of this said, if you really want a damage dealer don't do a battle HP, get a sniper or something. And if you wanna hunt solo without any worries go for a boring creator with a bot homon. (ZzZ). Only try this build if you got nothing else to do in RO and just wanna have some fun with a cute caracter. Lassayel This post has been edited by NightHeart: Apr 29 2009, 08:57 PM |

For Prontera server, you need acolyte/priest to support your main character.
Or you will be stuck when you reach level 80 and above. |

Why cant? There must be a way to tweak something, sorry but i don't have any experience with router setting p/s: You do not need to hex your Ragexe or RagFree to do multiple login. It has been patch officially |

As far as I know, it shouldn't be a problem at all since it's very similiar to multi-clienting. So unless the server bans multi-clienting, you should be able to open as many clients as you wish.

Just bought the new Morroc installer.
Gonna start an acolyte Any advice on a PvP/WoE build thats also viable in MvP-ing? What stats to add and stuff? PS: Should I start in Sara or Prontera? Whats the difference? This post has been edited by sayming: May 4 2009, 05:31 PM |

As a priest, go for a TU build as it helps you to level better since I doubt you'll get parties in those servers. Once trans, since you're into WoE....get your guildies to party with you to level your HP. WoE builds are generally not viable outside WoE i.e. PvM & MvP except for a few classes. Sara is P2P while Prontera is F2P. Prontera has a larger population. Both are bot infested. This post has been edited by NightHeart: May 4 2009, 07:31 PM |
