Maybe LGA775 becos they wanna test the market.
As for SODIMM, that's a real mystery.
Maybe the cooling performance is really good and this really is for HTPC?
But even HTPC can use DDR, why SODIMM?

i think that is not Sodim memory i think is the PCi Express for notebook

The "PCi Express for notebook" is called Sodimm sweat.gif , full name is Small Outline Dual In-line Memory Module...

well, maybe bcoz dimm ddr2 is getting lesser on market? so they put so-dimm since theres nt much ppl that upgrade their laptop. and i believe so-dimm is still pretty alot on market compare to dimm

Basically this mobo is in concept stage when it's designed and i see there is a lot of space for DDR2 and DDR3,i hope the final design is using Long-DIMM.
anyway,there is a lot of SO-DIMM using GMH brows.gif

mayb lga775 is using sodimm....

Why "marine" backplate? for mounting a HEAVY passive cooler?
Why so many capacitors?

This mobo reminds me of auto-makers camouflaging their concept cars when testing on the public roads.

hmmm i think final product will be DDR2/3 not SO-DIMM and maybe the water can run trough da pipe...become water cooling mobo... or will have 1600MHZ SO-DIMM.... but... there's another cooling problem for SO-DIMM = =" asus make ppl confuse...sommore 2 slot only.....look like Gundam or somtin like that....Gundam? Transformer? i love Gundam batter.... lets call it Gundam Series...

It looks like a Reventon. I can't seem to find any other info on the new mobo. Let just wait until we hear from the proper sources & some explanation on SO-DIMM slot

waaa....now motherboard makers also got make 'concept' mobos to test the market like how car makers make 'concept' car only for flashy auto shows? then they should put more bling and shine (ala 22" chrome wheels), install some fat pipes (ala hotrods and quad exhaust) and use cooler master's v10 cooler...

hahaxx!

should come out with ddr3 and lga1366 la..then only padan... looks like a hummer to me..
