Vote for norton.
Tried Norton AV 2009, Norton AV 2009 Gaming Edition, Norton Internet Security 2009, all very very light and detection rate are good.

Someone claimed its even lighter than nod32.

I can assure you that ESS is heavier than Norton. smile.gif

I was shocked to see how much memory NAV2009GE actually used. Well to me memory doesn't really matter because I have 4GB, but yea, it's damn light.

I don't agree. I had a bad experience with F-Secure after I bought it. My friends & I bought F-Secure antivirus directly from them after they given a talk in our university about career and antivirus. Then, F-Secure gave us the link & password for the software in our email but couldn't download it. My friends & I complained to them about the invalid link almost every weeks. Finally, they replied and the solution is by giving us the antivirus cd within 3 months. Bad customer service in my opinion. A very huge frustration to us. vmad.gif Change to Panda Internet Security for now. My other friends bought Kaspersky because it is famous. doh.gif Money wasted in the drain on F-Secure. shakehead.gif

Yeah, real long time. Oh well, you definitely can't use this kind of poll to get what's the best <insert_app_type_here> to buy or try, it's all depends on your own self.

I'm still using NOD32 as of now. I love it because it's light especially on real time. Ideal for my Samsung NC10 netbook. It's very rare for me to get viruses anyway. As an extra barrier, I use a script blocker on my browser. Haven't really tried others recently but I'm happy with mine.

Seems not many use Avast or AVG, both is pretty good for a free AV. smile.gif

Even though they're great (I think sweat.gif), it's not fair to *really* compare freeware and paidware AV solutions.
