I wish I could select more than one option. Anyway, I'm voting for Norton Antivirus. Improved engine with good detection rates and scanning speed too. Too bad GUI can't be customized the way I want it to.

NOD32 as always. Started to dislike Kaspersky after version 6. Plus they made a major blunder some time last year by detecting Window's explorer.exe as a virus. It was fixed within 2 hours after the definition update was released though.

btw is the latest Norton really that good? No longer the bloatware champion?

Check out the following website to understand better how a good and unbiased review or chart should look like.

The Anti-Malware Testing Standards Organization (AMTSO)
http://www.amtso.org/

www.AV-Comparatives.org
We believe the documents recently adopted by AMTSO, the "Fundamental Principles of Testing" and "Best Practices for Dynamic Testing," represent a significant step toward providing more meaningful tests and therefore better information for computer users and professionals. As a security software testing organization, we are willing to work within these AMTSO standards and will continue our work with AMTSO to help strength the security industry.
— Andreas Clementi, AV-Comparatives

www.AV-Test.org
As a member of AMTSO, we believe that this new, unified approach will ultimately benefit computer users who use product reviews and other test results to help choose internet security software.
- Andreas Marx, AV-Test.org

www.Virusbtn.com
It’s great that these documents have been finalized and made public – anti-malware testing is a complex and demanding business, and testers will benefit greatly from the support and advice of a community like AMTSO. It’s very encouraging to see such cooperation between industry experts and testing bodies, and hopefully AMTSO will continue to promote trust, respect and sharing of information and resources. This can only lead to better designed and better implemented testing, which should in turn encourage increased quality in products and the protection they provide – a huge benefit to computer users everywhere.

Frankly speaking, they improved a lot in term of speed but as for detection rate, still bad.
Till now, they still cannot detect brontok. sad.gif

Wow, this thread has become a promotion center, I thought it's a thread where we vote and share experience about antiviruses, not promotions. I guess I've clicked on the wrong link then. yawn.gif

Yes, of course.

I use the Kaspersky for 3 years. It had help me kill all the virus that all i meet.

Then you know which Anti-Virus can scan and remove threats in zip file without open the zip file?
Free anti virus also can scan in zip file ? As i know only can scan file but can't remove.
If you wan to remove threats you need to open the zip file first. tongue.gif
