Vertical for me, because my TV rack seem to have no extra place for me to make it horizontally.
Besides, I would like to ask all the ps3 owner here, sometime, when I hold the PS button and press quit game, my ps3 perform abnormally which gives me 3 beeps and 'RESTART' the game. Curious enough to ask is it any one here encounter the same problem? What is going on actually?

CRASH!!!! your ps3 is dying. hahaha.





....no lah. it just sometimes resets, when maybe data conflict. or sometimes it clears the cache and restarts. its not supposed to do this im guessing. and people arent sure if it actually rosak's your machine or not. happen to me many time already. so far still running well. try to make sure your HDD is not blinking before quiting game or turning off your system.

Theres data still being done on the PS3 when you are quitting the game.

Mostly, when you are quitting during a Loading screen, directly after or before a loading screen, after saving a game and so on. 3 beeps like that means that the PS3 is still working on something, and automatically stops and restarts because you "requested" it to do so.

Will not harm your PS3 at all. Don't worry.

juz downloaded RS5 Demo.. sometimes it keep crashing at the loading screen.. happens like 5 times on the same loading screen.. but still working.. importantly its not hardware... software can anytime do a format.

Anyways... I place my PS3 vertical, so less surface is covered and opened in the open air and hot air rises so it will flow out easily coz the top cover with the PS3 logo doesnt have vents.

thats juz my 2cents

As I've said... the top vents acts as vent-intakes rather than exhaust.

Which is why in thermo-tests, horizontal position keeps the PS3 at a lower temperature. Its not a significant difference really, so in the end just put your PS3 horizontal or vertical as you see fit.

hey i was reading about the rumoured ps3 slim.... if it comes out are any of you going to lelong your ps3 and buy the slim one?

id be worried about the heat sync in a slim model. kinda like ps2 slim. had to turn it off every few hours.

went to sony style at Times Square in KL just now and i asked the salesperson about PS store, he said that malaysia will have PS store maybe around this March...for me i will said that it is NOT CONFIRMED yet but heck! cant wait!!
