its a bluetooth controller. the recievers are built in. the ps3 will automatically configure the controller and it will know which is which. you can have up to 7-8 controllers or something like that with no problems.

bluetooth module inside the ps3.

if you buy a new one, you must pair it with the ps3 using the usb cable. after that it will auto sync. the led at the front of the controller will show which slot the controller is using. ps3 has 7 slots for bluetooth device. hold the ps button on the controller to turn it off or assign it to other slot.

you must re-pair using usb cable if you intend to use on other ps3

PS3 controllers use bluetooth wireless tech to connect. thus it differentiates from each other by using different channels...

ive heard of people doing this. but i dont see the point. just charge using the ps3. get a usb extension. or charge one controller while playing on the other if you got extra controllers.

I also heard the PS9 will come by the year of 2011.
Where the console would be a sphere and we'll be in the game itself.

no problem charging the ps3 controller using my laptop's usb port... since my pc is on 24/7... it'll still switch off when it's done charging... but it's better to remove it when the 2 hr charging time is over =)

it doesnt matter really. some people claim that lying it flat on the table gives better ventilation and not as much dust goes into the ps3. i definately agree about the dust. hehe. but as ssjben always says... compressed air is your friend. hahaha. i keep my ps3 verticle cause it takes so much space. so its verticle and hidden behind my tv.

first step: switch on the 1st ds3
second step: switch on the 2nd ds3 (make sure usb cable are connected for PS3 to recognize it for the first time)

i think thats the only way to do it.... hmm.gif

read it at some random website some times ago, place it horizontally for better ventilation while place it vertically get better wifi coverage

but when i place it vertically, i can feel a bit warm at the PLAY STATION 3 the words there and other place is like normal temperature, even the exhaust vent doesnt have much warm air coming out

when placing it horizontally the bottom part of the PS3 warmer while the other part remain normal temperature, air coming out from exhaust vent also quite warm...
