Hi driftmeister,

There is a problem with quota system which previously u downloaded some japanese character. As this quota unabled to properly parse this file, it has locked on previous disk size. I have fixed it for you and has re-run your torrent. I have personally put your torrent downloads, account in top priority for any kind of customer support and we will monitor your downloads from time to time to ensure smooth process. We regret for inconvenience but in meantime we assure you that very soon we will overcome this problem with japanese character's as for now it is software limitation

Added on February 15, 2009, 2:13 am@ Prasys

It is a webui limitation for now. Hope it will fixed on next major webui releases.

@ manz

Thank you for your valuable comment.

Hi there, your port 8103 is only for viewing webui and uploading torrent(s) to the server.

8103 port doesn't relay to any downloading process. Our download port is only port 80 ( HTTP ) or 21 (FTP).

Which ISP are you using? What is your internet line speed?

Well i can assure you that we don't block, capped or throttle from server to PC. Since you said you are using University line, maybe others are downloading / surfing / streaming also which might affect your download speed.

A quick check list:
i) how many simultaneous connection do you use in free download manager?
ii) Are you using HTTP or FTP method to download back your files?

btw, getting 800kb per sec is quite good biggrin.gif

@ Darjana
i) I'm using 12 simultaneous connection in free download manager.
ii) Using HTTP to download. Speed are quite good! But not as good megaupload or rapidshare premium speed tongue.gif

You should get 1-2MB/s using 12 connection. But there is 10+ users also occupying the download system and this might cause system to adjust bandwidth tolerance between each user to ensure system stability and download speed.

The torrent speed seems to fluctuate but I understand that there are a lot of factors to this like the seeders/peers. Anyway, here's a screenshot:

Seems that files that have more seeders from the US will be much faster.
