ok, i received a call from streamyx and saying that i can apply for personal insurance for very low price per month and the offer was quite good for a layman (i never apply before).
but i also need to give out my credit card number because the rep asked right on the spot. suddenly i realize why should i provide my card number without even having a clear idea of what it is all about, at least some black and white paper or website? so i said i forgot the number during telling the number halfway and the card is not with me (which is true also). some more the phone number is "private no" so i can't even confirm who's calling. but the rep do have my correct address registered under streamyx account.
i was told that it's only available for customers who subsribed streamyx for more than a year. anyone receive similar call?

I've subscribed to Streamyx since it was made available, and yet received no such call. Never ever reveal important info to unknown ppl.

what the fuh? is this a lucky draw thing or what?
and airasia also got?
it's not that i don't believe them, but at least let me just choose to pay in bank transfer or even cash. credit card? no way, they can just charge any amount and i'll be doomed...

IC number is ok i think, they can't do anything i guess? in fact if got lobang you can buy from companies, there might be some jerks working inside and selling private informations to outside.

I'll usually say goodbye and have a nice day. If my information gets leaked out , I'll sue your company and as well as TM for leaking out my information without my concern. Its invading my privacy.
This way , they'll not bug you

Your wallet is no match for their band of lawyers.
Best way is to ask for the sales rep personal phone number and tell them you'll call them back later.

it's a joined business between tmnet and that insurance company.
credit card details for them to deduct every month for the insurance.
btw, if you don't have insurance yet, it's good to take one now. who knows.
