Here's a partial quote from the author, Darkimmortal
QUOTE(Darkimmortal)
You can stream videos (even ones in rars) directly from Rapidshare, as if it were Youtube. No need to download fully before watching

OFF TOPIC
just experiment the "video streamer" in RUM..
Attached Image
in the attached image, the link is not a rar file..
i donno how it will treat the rar file whether it still the same or it will took longer to stream..
i dont av VLC player b4 so it ask me to install it 1st or else, it wont play the video..
so far, i found that this "video streamer" is quite useful nod.gif

New remote upload queuing system

July 2, 2009
We have improved the way remote uploads are handled. There was a limit of 30 remote uploads you can enqueue, and they used to be started all at the same time. This has been changed so that you can now enqueue up to 300 links, but only 5 copy jobs will be started at the same time. This will avoid remote server problems, which are unable to handle so many download tasks at the same time. As soon as these jobs finish, the next copy jobs will be started automatically.

Changes in the handling of RapidPoints

July 1, 2009
As you know we are constantly trying to improve your experience with RapidShare. This includes simplifying our system, fighting fraud attempts and, of course, improving your benefits. In order to accommodate those needs, we have modified the way we count the RapidPoints generated by Premium Users. There is no 255 points limit per day anymore. This means, you can get an unlimited number of PU RapidPoints per day. The PU RapidPoints will not be stored separately, but added directly to your RapidPoints total, so they can also be used immediately. Every Premium User can generate 1 RapidPoint per 20 minutes for other users by downloading their files. Those changes take effect immediately. If you would like to see how many RapidPoints and PU RapidPoints you have received each day, please let us know. We consider adding this information as an evaluation feature in the future.

the 1st one is well accepted..
but the 2nd news??
1 point for each 20 minutes? rclxub.gif
imagine if u dwldg a muvi with 4 separated files using a prem acc, obviously u will dwld simultaneous files at a time rite?
there will be 0 benefit to the uploader..n myb next time, they wont upload anything in rs acc anymore due to this polishit..
they changed it just tooooooo soon!!! vmad.gif

The new policy pretty much sucks for the small time uploaders but the big time uploaders are still able to get more points as they have their links everywhere and most users download from these 'trusted users' most of the time.

As for the second news, yay happy.gif about time they did that

Correct me if I'm wrong, won't 1 point per 20 minutes better than 10 points per day?

Thanks tofuwizard.

I can see that RS add in Delete all completed jobs. Great touch there. No need to run greasemonkey *Mass Evil Delete!* scripts anymore.

But 5 uploads at same time is really slooooow, especially when running on rs2rs.

Yeah, no need to have the damn spam protection error anymore.

I just use DI's old reupper site to remote upload RS -> MU -> RS. Much faster anyway with MU premium
