With PLUG and PLAY in Windows, tested on XP, Vista and Windows 7, one would be able to directly control Media Player or DVD player with function like, PLAY, STOP/PAUSE, Fast Forward/Backward, Volume Control and Mute like demonstrated in the youtube below :

Some guides and plug-in for Windows Media Center :

http://lifehacker.com/software/media-cente...gins-212345.php

http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/thread/20347.aspx

As a Summary, this REMOTE CONTROL also works with the following programs TESTED on XP platform, where you can control PLAY/STOP/PAUSE/FORWARD/BACKWARD, FAST FORWARD or BACKWARD :

Windows Media Play
DVD Player Programs
Winamp
Foorbar
GOM Player --- Tested by one of the member
Windows Vista Ultimate Media Center --- Tested by one of the member

Mac OSX 10.5.6:
1. iTunes work ! i don`t even have to put the player in front of other windows for it to function
2. Frontrow also working...
3. DVD player also working
(Tested by a member HERE)

RealPlayer

**(RealPlayer itself can also work like the above, except those that you play it through online, like the player within a web browser, then you can not use the control. Files that you play with the RealPlayer, is ABLE to use this control.)

Other possibilities would appreciate your feedback after you have got the remote in hand.

I would in my free time, test further on other platform, and provide update whenever possible, as I am also hoping to building a entertainment system base on linux.

Any buddy wanted to work together on this as a project could also contact me, so that perhaps we could open another THREAD on this as a community porject laugh.gif laugh.gif TQ

Bro,

YES you can, but you will need to do some tuning to your system by installing some driver program, so that the infrared signal to be bridge towards a particular program that you wanted to control, such as Winamp.

I lost the link to a SETUP guide, will see if I could find it again, and I will put it up here.

TQ for supporting thumbup.gif

Bro,

TO use the control for other programs, perhaps you like to refer to a guide for Winamp in particular, as well as the open source project for infrared :

http://www.informit.com/articles/article.aspx?p=401649

http://winlirc.sourceforge.net/

I hope it point you to the right direction thumbup.gif

No linking to other sales website. If you want to utilise LYN for your sales, please remove the external link.

Anyway, I'm interested to grab one. biggrin.gif
I'll wait till my exam finishes later and read your posted links on how to tweak it. Can it work on Real Player? I doubt so right? sweat.gif

Added on January 5, 2009, 5:07 amI've seen your posted youtube video on post #1, why does it have the layer thingy keep coming out through out the whole video... I don't know how to describe. sweat.gif Hope you could understand. sweat.gif Is it because of the recording process on a CRT? unsure.gif

Hi fruitie,

Thx for the advice, already make the necessary changes.

For it to work with other programs such as Real Player, please refer to the POST #3 for some guides on the net, especially the open source project.

Besides that, the layer thing that u saw in the video, are due to the CRT referesh rate.

Bro,

Ya you are right.

I have modify the process, so for LYN members, just post your request here, and I will come up with the order list later.

Sorry for all the inconveniences caused, and we TQ for your support notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Besides that, for us to be able to negotiate great bargain from our supplier, we would urge you to still register at our mailing list, so that we could COMPLY with MASS MAILING regulation, and keep you informed in time of great offer :

http://www.kemenupdate.com/news/user/subscribe.php

That is actually the reason at the beginning that I came up with the process.

We thank you for your understanding.

Bro,

Thanks for supporting first of all.

Besides LYN, we are also seeking support from our customer base, hopefully we could achieve MOQ soon, as so far the response is very positive, and should have a better indicator next week once all our members have been contacted through email.

At the moment, I have added you name to the list.

TQ for supporting once again.

Regards,

Casey notworthy.gif notworthy.gif
