is it really 'that' different between 50mm 1.8 & 50mm 1.4?

it depends....
if u have the money...it is THAT different...
if u are short on $$$...the difference is negligible.

I find the introduction of D3000 in August a bit weird. Other than that, I welcome all the lenses. tongue.gif

And also 17-60mm is a weird focal length. tongue.gif And 14-28, and 120-450. Why all the weird numbers? tongue.gif

Its like Nikon decided to fill the gap for the 28-70 and 24-120.

Problem. Major!!
My SU-800 is failing on me. It seems to fail to work everytime i switched from D90 to D700 and vice versa, depending on which camera i put it on first (after a long switch off time).
And sometimes it works like it used to, sometimes it doesnt. This been happning for the past week.
So.. may i humbly ask of yall who knows ...

1 - Do we usually get a one-to-one exchange within warranty ?
2 - How long does it take for Nikon to do checkup on this thing and comebac ?

Thank yall so much in advance.

my once and only dealing with nikon (M) service centre in PJ had been a good one. they were very professional. within a day of my lodgment of my broken sb600, they told me of the expected cost. once i agreed to it, within another day or 2, i forget, the item was ready for collection. my unit had past its warranty period. hence i cant answer your part 1 question.

stupid suggestion which might insult your IQ and sorry if it does. have u tried taking the batteries out of the SU and putting them back in (manual RESET!) before sticking onto the other camera of yours.

i went to a workshop for photojournalist and there was this dude with a 5Dmkii with 24mm f1.4, and a girl with 5D with 35mm f1.4

i was seriously thinking of getting the 5Dmkii just for the 35mm 1.4

and now nikkor (let's hope the rumour is true lah) will have it...

If the rumours are true, you can have a better equivalent, D700x and the 35mm f/1.4 biggrin.gif

Of course the D700x is gonna be a lot more than the 5D Mk2 tho shocking.gif
